My twins are going to be three soon. I was also sick as a dog when I was having them. I stomach was also really big. You should go have a ultrasound done. I found out I was having twins when I was 9 weeks. How far along are U?

I thought I might have been pregnant with twins too because my levels were increasing really rapidly and I was having horrible uncomfortable pains in my stomache. I wasn't that nauseous but I just felt like even walking for more than 20 minutes made me sore. First the hospital told me that I had a miscarriage....because my HCG levels were so low when I was supposedly supposed to be at 6 weeks. Turns out that the dates were all wrong. But then within three days they went from 250 to 2090!....so then when I went back three days later they were almost 7000! But when I went for an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok. They only found one pregnancy...but the heartbeat was 117 and all is looking well--or so I am told. Just wait a bit Rebecca and the ultrasound will let u know for sure. Good luck!

You'll just have to wait until an ultrasound can confirm twins. I'm 17 weeks and I have a slight feeling I might be having twins but you never really know. The ONLY sure fire way is to have an ultrasound...and that really tests our patience.

Some people say that morning sickness, gestational growth and other pregnancy symptoms are magnified when you are having twins but others say they didn't experience anything out of the ordinary in the first few months...so there's not really a checklist you can go through to figure out whether you're having twins or not.

hey rebecca. my mother is on her 6th child..but were all spead out, shes not fat at all, shes still a size 5 but with this baby her stomach is as big as a basketball at 12 weeks! we thought she was having twins also but the sonogram confirmed it was only one. i guess the myth about the more you have the bigger pregnancy you have. I dont know about the sickness though, maybe you just caught a bad case this pregnancy. hope you feel better.

anything is possible.. it could be twins, but every pregnancy is different. I was overally sick on my son, but I was really sick this time around, people said I was having a girl because the symptoms were way differrent... but nope, another boy is on the way.

I didn't find out I was pregnant with my twins until I was 16 weeks! But if I was in teh right frame of mind some signs were tehre I suppose. By stomach just suddenly seemed to spurt and get rounder by the day it seemed! I was sick as a dog, not only in the mornings, it would last all day and I did carry on having periods, although they were irregular but I just thought it was stress. The only sure thing is like you said, an ultra-sound which at 17 weeks should be able to show it easily. It did with mine. EVery person is different and age probably effects what symptons you experience aswell to some extent. I was around 15 when I was pregnant so quite young. Good luck and post back let us know!

I have a friend who didn't know she had twins until she delivered at a birthing center. They missed it on the US because one baby was behind the other! I WANT TWINS! My husband and husband's father are twins, but genetically twins travel on the maternal side?? weird...

I am 19 weeks pregnant with twins. My morning sickness, heartburn, fatigue, breast tenderness is all horrible and my dr said its because with two babies you have more hormones so it is a possiblity. But like everyone else has said, an ultrasound is the only way to confirm 100% that its twins.
