So ok im getting closer to my due date...and its now that im actually really starting to worry about going into labour and birth.

I didnt go to any of the classes, because i am single and the one i did go to i felt so uncomfortable i didnt go back...so i dont really know what to expect. I'm also really worried about the pain...and the fact im probably not going to have any one there for a support network.

Just freaking out a little bit here!

I've posted about this before... but I've been having some fears about some things too. Not so much the pain, but I'm terrified that 1.) I'll tear really horribly 2.) I'll scream or curse or poo or something embarassing during it 3.) That my... you know what... will be drastically mishapen or weird afterwards and 4.) that my stomach will be all weird and saggy and I'll look like a sharpei dog the rest of my life.

My fear of my reaction to labor is mostly because Paul has two children... so he's done this before... I don't want to seem like I can't handle it as well as his ex-wife did. I know that's crazy and he's assured me that wont be the case no matter what. But the thought is still there. In fact, I know that none of those are really reasonable fears... it's just me.

omg i didnt even stop to think about the tearing...or the pooping OR the saggy stomach :(
ohhhh man seriously i have no idea here...
I was initally just worried about not knowing im going into labour...and then the pain and not having the support around me to help...
oh i know for sure im going to be swearing and yelling and screaming i just feel really sorry for the midwives and doctors...ive already decided im going to send them flowers and chocolates afterwards! Lol

I do still have nightmares that he is going to come out and there is something wrong with him..i just dont think i would be able to cope by myself if there is. I'm also kinda worried he wont fit and i will need a emergency ceaser...so many things!!!

I am too bitchy! I think honestly the classes made it worse for me. Luckily I will probably have him before they are done. After last weeks I walked out saying "I don't want to have this baby anymore" and my husband was saying "I can't be there, you're on your own" but when i have talked to people who have been there it's a little more reassuring. I'm scared because I might have to have a c section and that scares me more than labour!
When are you due?

Ok I have a question too, I know about the pooping but do people ever piss themselves?

I was told you have to have a catheter if you have an epidural... which would be in place before pushing... so I guess if you have an epidural that wouldn't be an issue. I don't know about if you go natural.

Well my latest ultrasound has me for New Years Eve.
So about 7 weeks to go give or take.

I'm going to try and stay away from the Epidural...there was a case here recently a girl ended up paralized ..i know its very rare but its a chance i would like to eliminate, you know?
But i will definly be having the Gas, and the Pethedine shot...and i mean if the pain is unbearable yes i will have the Epidural.

From what i read...ya alot of woman pee and poop :| I really would not want to be the person who has to clean all this up after birth :|

I wouldn't want to be on the recieving end for any part of the birth lol. You said you don;t have much of a support network...do you have someone to be there with you when you give birth? Do you know what you're having? I'm going to try and stay away from the epidural as well, but I have a very low pain tolerency so who knows.

The father and i arnt together, he is in america ( and i know im going to be crying for him to be there, still love the dickhead! )

My Mum said if she has to work, she wont be there..

And i had 2 friends lined up to come...1 just pulled out last week saying she is going up to the coast for a few weeks. And my other friend is going to try her hardest to be there, but if i actually do go between Christmas day and New Years eve..she cannot be there. ( she is a 2 hour drive from where i am)

The midwives are really nice and friendly here...i just guess its not really the same.
And im Having a little boy :)

oh yea! thats another thing im worried about....having a boy i dont know how to ..you know clean him and all :| plus im getting him circumsized ( which isnt that common in australia ) this is weird but i think his little penis is going to freak me out some...
Wow you can really tell im going to be a crappy parent!!!

Congrats! I am having a little boy too! Do you have a name? We are calling ours Kaden Tyler. I'm sorry to hear that you might not have anyone there. Does the father want to have anything at all to do with the baby, or is it your choice? Sorry if I am asking too many questions...

I am freaked out about his penis touching me on the way out!
I have no experience with little boys so yeah I am probably going to get peed on alot haha. We are getting our little guy circumcised as well. I don't know how well I am going to deal with that.

I am worried about labor too. My first one I was induced so I just had to be there at 6am and they took care of the rest. I am scared that I won't know I'm in labor with this one and have to rush to the hospital trying to hold it in.

Last time since I was induced I took an enema before I left the house so I didn't have any embarrasing mistakes. But, if I go into labor naturally this time... I don't know if I'll have time for all that, ya know?

Well hopefully none of us do! I am scared I won't know I'm in labour as well. I have heard people say "I just thought I had some cramping" and they go to the doctor and they are already quite dilated! I wish it was easy. Like an oven timer. Ok, he's done! time to go to the hospital!

No its ok ask all the Q you want :D
The father..and i basically because we are in differnt countries..he decided it was too hard to make it work and instead of putting a effort into it, he just started drinking all the time to cope with it, and has chosen not to take responsiblitly. Of course if i lived in america this wouldnt be a issue, but because im in australia...it was just never going to work.

Basically with him..out of sight is out of mind, he doesnt see or hear about the baby then it doesnt exsist...i email him all my ultrasound pictures and updates but i know he doesnt really care for them.
All im going to do is set up a bank account when he is born put money in it each week and when he is old enough and wants to see his dad he will have the money to do so.

His last name will be Johnson...and i picked out Charlie for a first name but ive been getting alot of negetive feedback on it...no middle name picked out as of yet!

Lol Randi!! I hope he comes early i dont want to be induced...i cant take all this sitting under my ribs he has a fasination with.

There have been times where ive had cramps and freaked out and thought i was going into labour...i just hope i will know once the real thing comes along

Whats wrong with Charlie? I think it's cute. My husbands grandma hates the name Kaden. She is said she is going to call him Tyler (his middle name and my husbands name) she thinks because she is the great grandmother she can call him whatever the hell she wants! She's a nut. And Tylers mom said that since our last name is Nevison, people will call him Kaden Evison (they will drop the N) she also can be a nut haha. So not everyone is going to be happy and everyone has their own opinion. I think Charlie is a really cute name and it's not all that common right now. If you like it then go for it!

I've never had an enema before... does that make it so that you can't poo when you're pushing? I would think putting water up there might make it worse.

And about making it to the hospital - I was the birth coach for my friend a few months back and there is PLENTY of time to get to the hospital in almost every case. She sat around for hours, even took a shower, before going and was fine. I was freaking out a little and trying to convince her to go but it was her second and she knew that she'd be sitting in the hospital forever. She said she'd rather do the first couple of hours at home.

I am hoping I don't need a C section! He has until next thursday to turn on his own (he is a transverse breech) and if he doesn't then it looks like we will be scheduling something. He is already measuring pretty big and the doctor tried to turn him last week. Luckily my little guy ha smoved down a little, he is not in my ribs anymore as much. That killed!!

Yeah if I do get to have him naturally I am worried about making it to the hospital. We have to drive an hour and a half to the one I chose and where I live is cold and snowy so I don't want to be driving there in a snowstorm in the middle of the night.

I really like Kaden!
I'm lucky i dont really have too many people pushing there name ideas on me.

Pooin and Peein and all the blood and guts...its so nasty :( and im even nervous about getting up on a bed putting my legs up in the sturrips and having a doctor stick his fingers inside..this is just going to be so tramatic i dont think im going to be able to cope!
