if my backs sore i usually have a hot bath then lie in bed watching tv. works most of the time.. if not i go for the painkillers that im allowed to take during pregnancy.

they have been prooven safe for about a million years... i have asked my doctor and my midwife.. if they had any risk at all i wouldnt take them.. neither would anyone else in new zealand.

they are just a painkiller ( pill form ) effective and safe. we dont get 'tylenol' here..

500/65 Milligrams... lots of diff types.. for the type of pain your having.. theres like cold and flu panadol drinks.. panadol for headaches / back pain / period pain etc..

i was told u can only take tylenol in certain trimesters.

Name: roseywosey | Date: Apr 11th, 2007 4:22 AM
i wasnt told that about panadol.. but i was told that about something called nurofen and paracetimol.

Name: roseywosey | Date: Apr 11th, 2007 4:23 AM
i'll have to double check with my midwife.. i havnt taken any panadol for awhile anyways... but just in case.

lol yeh.. new zealand is such a sheltered place.

panadol is just the brand for paracetamol 500mg.

Yup - lying on the floor gives me such relief - even if you just put a cushion onder your head and butt, but it helps ease my lumber pain and helps me stretch out my shoulders, I think because I probably hunch over my desk at work it helps to stretch the other way

**panadol is just the brand for paracetamol 500mg. And i think that 'tylenol' is just the american brand for Paracetamol

Name: veronim | Date: Apr 11th, 2007 4:45 AM
nurofen is the brand for Ibuprofen and it is not safe in Pregnancy - whereas Paracetamol can be taken during pregnancy safely. hope this helps

i was told each trimester is a different one, not to take a certain one in the third trimester b.c it can cause miscarriage. i dono

I though Tylenol was safe all through. I know you are supposed to take minimal drugs in the 1st though.
