My friend just told me that if you are having a c-section then you can have a tummy tuck at the same time and get it paid for? Is this true??? I am having my third boy this August and was told I may have to have a c-sec. (first one) and I was curious. Anyone have a tummy tuck at same time as CS?

I heard that once and it's not true. It would be nice if it was possible, but you'd have to have a plastic surgeon to do it, not an ob. I think if it were possible there would be a lot of women who would try for c-sections.

My friend had a hernia removed and they did him a tummy tuck and his insurance paid for it because he was already having the one operation... but dont know about a C-section.

I asked my obstetrician to do a tummy tuck whilst he was on with my c-section and he just laughed! He then proceeded to stitch me up really far too tight! The scar still feels under too much tension and that was over two years ago!

no it isn't true. Plus your insides have to shrink back to normal so I think that a tummy tuck would be hard to do and get it tight.
