Yes, this is my third kid, but I just discovered the wonderful world of vibrators after kid 2 was born. Was wondering if they are ok to use during pregnancy? If sex is ok a vibrator should be, right?

Actually I have heard the opposite. I am in my 32nd week of pregnancy and as you can imagine (and those who have been here before know) the back ache is pretty bad at the moment. I went out and bought a massage chair, which also has a vibrating function which instructed pregnant women not to use.

The vibrations are in the seat part and feels quite like our battery friends but I am being safe than sorry after the advice from the manufacturer and sales clerk.

Vibrations are known to start cotnractions, it depends on how far along you are...

Does anyone else experience braxton hicks after an orgasm? I am 23 weeks along and everytime I have an orgasm my stomach gets as hard as a rock for a few secs then it goes away. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yep! I also got them at the end when I walked quickly or moved to fast.

ok maybe this is dumb, but what is braxton hicks??
I am about 22 weeks and have been having regular orgasms, and I do feel my tummy get very taut and hard afterwards. I just saw the doc today and had a sonogram, and everything was good and healthy, also I read that orgasms are fine during preg. except for problem pregnancies/high risk pregnancies?
is it safe?

Only a true retarded person would use a vibrator during pregnancy. I can't believe anyone would even risk their baby's development like that?

What next? Lord have mercy.

Duh! vibrators rock. I'm 6 months pregnant and i use one.Anything kinky is definetely for me

Kinkiness is fine, but why would ANYONE risk their baby's health and development for a vibrator? Just wait if you can't have sex right now. That vibrator is definitely dangerous.

whats the diffrence between usin a vibrator/dildo and having sex? i dont think either of them will harm the baby if its safe to have sex its safe to use a vibrator

Ok look, we are obviously all entitled to our opinion, but ladies it can be expressed without insulting others or using names, that is just a little childish don't you think Gina?

The difference v is that when you have sex it is not a vibration, it is the vibration that is dangerous for the baby hense dildo's being a general no no.

Then again, caffine, nicotine and alcohol are too but people still do them too so what can you do? You can't dictate to people, just hand out advice and share the knowledge you have at hand if anyone needs it.

I would have never been abel toget by at times if i did not have my vibrator. My husband dislikes haveing sex with me becasue he says its like knocking on his bedroom door. Because of that i have used my vibrator a lot. I was moving things around in my room. And my vibrator broke. I cryed and cryed. But since i have been using my vibrator my baby my midwife say that my baby is fine. nothing has gone wrong.

You asked what's the difference between having sex and using a vibrator. Well, in my opinion having a penis inside us is natural, but the vibrator has batteries which could be similar to putting radiation near your baby. I know it's not exactly radiation, but in my heart I feel they have some sort of similarities. I would'nt insert no such object in me while carrying my baby. I like vibrators, but not while the baby is inside--too dangerous and not worth risking harming her.

sex and using a vibrator are both safe. if you dont think so then dont use one but if you want to ask your doctor. god you people are stupid using a vibrator is not gonna harm the baby idiots!

Stupid B I know sex is safe because my husband and I have sex whenever we choose. However, a vibrator is not safe, so let's see who is the jackass when their baby is harmed from using one. You couldn't pay me to use one while I'm with child.

You evidently care more about pleasing yourself than your child, that is if you're even pregnant.

i asked my doctor he said both sex and using a vibrator is safe.
