Well i'm at 17 weeks already, time is just flying by. I had to go in to see my doctor today because they called wanting me to make an appointment asap. Back in March I had my physical done and my doctor wanted me to come in because there showed abnormalities in the cells from the pap they did. She told me it may be nothing, or it's a possibility it could be cancer, unlikely but possibility. She could see the look on my face was like omg, no i'm only 24 this can't be happening and she started saying things like it's most likely not, but we want to double check so make another appointment for September. I'm honestly really scared, i'm happy it's nothing to do with the baby, but still. My mom told me my grandma went through the same thing when she was pregnant and it turned out to be nothing. I hope it's nothing, but i'm still freaking out.

I went through this last year, only I wasn't pregnant. I think when you are pregnant it can happen even more often. I was terrified and did go in for a colposcopy, during that my Dr. did take a couple of biopsies and after we got the results she felt it better to be safe and do cryo. They just freeze the abnormal cells, and then you have to go in for pap smears more ofter till it clears up. I went through 2 rounds, but have been clear for quite awhile now. If they catch it early it's not too bad, it sounds worse, way worse than it is. I hope that your abnormal cells are just from pregnancy and nothing bad. If your Dr. isn't too concerned, then it may not be all that bad, mine was very positive about mine and it turned out just fine. Shook me up a little, but I'm very thankful that it was all okay. Try and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and let your Dr. handle it for you, feel better!

I had the same thing abnormal pap come back and they did a bio. and a few other things. I had to have LEEP done ( Lasering off the bad cells from my cervix. I go get a pap every 2 months now. This doesnt effect your pregnany although depending on how much they take of the cervix may make it shorter. Although alot of women get abnormal paps and it turns out to be truely nothing, and even if it is something if they catch it early it can be fixed and watched. Sounds like if they are not seeing you again until Sept then all is ok they just wanna recheck you after the baby is born, if they are waiting that long then I would guess whatever they saw isnt That bad. I am sorry your going thru this hang in there :)

Thanks girls, I appreciate your input. I am still nervous and what not, but I hope September gets here really fast so I can get another test done and find out if it's anything serious Thanks for being here for me.

I know it's scary, just think positive, Lori is right, they would have had you in right away if they felt they needed to. Just keep your chin up and let us know how your doing.
