If it makes you feel any better, I'm only 24-weeks, and have 16 more weeks of this!!! I'd give anything to leap 10 weeks ahead. Have you everything ready for her?

i'm 35 weeks and I have been going through the same thing. I hate it. Not only are you tired from carrying the baby for almost 9 months, but you can't sleep either. It is not fair. I have convinced myself that my husband is carrying our next child!

Jmp, are you having a boy or girl?

Don't know. We went for the surprise. I am back to thinking it is a boy

haha yeah i wish my husband could carry the next one....that would be very nice..hehe...no i dont have everything read..which is scary...but my shower is in 2 weeks so its all well i guess...i just want to be like 38 weeks and go into labor and push and then see my baby....then the REAL tiredness begins

I have starting nesting..it was last Sunday when I made a list of what we still need and what still needs to be done. I broke down into tears!! I want to have this baby soon, but there is still so much to do that I hope it stays in for another few months.

Well, at least she'll be fully matured in 3 weeks. We don't do showers over here in Ireland. People just buy the baby gifts. I have that problem at the moment, with people asking me what they want to buy. And I don't know what they want to spend on the baby! And I'm particular about the big things like a cot etc. I'd rather choose and take the one I want myself, without having to worry about being forced to choose a cheaper one because his mother insists on buying it. HMMM!!!

can you do registrys over there still..even though you dont do showers.....you people really should start doing showers...start the tradition briseis!!!

Time seems to slow right down when you're pregnant. At times I think, 'Well, i'm 5 and a half months. I'm doing well' but at the same time I think 'I feel I've been pregnant forever! And compared with some women, I'm still early on in my pregnancy!' We're only beginning our nursery now. We have DIY to do in other areas of our house too, so we're kinda just starting into it all now.

I havn't started to drop yet, at least not that I can tell. I always thought I was going to go a week or two early, now I am fearing that I will be pregnant into July

You only really do registries for weddings over here, not for new babies. Over here, the immediate family, like grandparents just ask what they want us to buy for the baby, or decide to buy what they want themselves. Like my fiancé's mum is trying to insist on buying us a pram, even though my sister is giving us her travel system, so we don't need a pram. We keep telling her, but she insists on the pram. Other people just bring gifts to the hospital when the baby is born ...

my brother in law always jokes that i have been pregnant for 15 months..he like so when are you going to have this kid again....lol....time went fast up until my husband left for iraq..and i think now that i am waiting for him to come home plus waiting for the baby...time is like molasses(sp?) on a really cold day..... maybe things will pick up soon...the last week or so has gne by somewhat quick so maybe thats a sign.....i am hoping to go in june..like the last week or 2 weeks before july..i am due july 1st which is my birthday so i want to be unpregnant by then so i can drink my one beer lol...

i just started to drop this week....but i think she is dropping pretty quick cause everyday it hurts more and more....maybe you'll be one that doesnt drop until right before labor...so who knows

take the pram (whats a pram?) back to the store and exchange it for something you need...i know she is your mother in law but still you have to take care you what you need for the baby....

and i still thinkyou should start the whole baby shower tradition....or would they thinkits rude?? lol

Name: briseis | Date: May 19th, 2007 12:49 PM
Ohhh don't you call them prams?? Erm it's a stroller? Or a buggy?

I'd have loved a shower ... but people might think I'm being rude. lol. I like the idea of a registry. I might just make a list of the things we are leaving for other ppl to buy ... The last thing I want is a house filled with duplicates!

Yeah I can imagine that time drags in when your man is away. Will he be home for the birth?

Name: DaneseS | Date: May 19th, 2007 1:45 PM
Ohh a stroller ok...

but yeah make a list of the things you need and when someone calls to ask what you need tell them the list and have them tell you what they are going to buy so you can keep track..or if they like to do surprises or w/e have them call one of your friends so your friend can keep track of who's going to buy what that way you dont get too many duplicates...

no he wont be home for the birth he is in iraq and wont be home til august...so i m hoing that afterthe baby is born the time will fly by....lol

Name: briseis | Date: May 19th, 2007 2:19 PM
Yeah I think that's the best way.

It's a shame it won't be there for the birth, but it can't be helped I suppose. As long as you have someone with you for the birth to give support etc.
