| im also a first time mommy, but my friend lost her mucus plug 3 weeks ago, it just means your baby is on the way. Thats good though, i wouldnt be scared. If your due the 20th, you would probably be about 37,38 weeks though right? i think youll have him soon if your already 2 cm dialated. I mean, i heard that the doc.s can give you something to stop labor but if you baby is about 38 weeks, he should be pretty well developed. i heard that they like them to stay in there till 40 weeks but at 38 their lungs and everything are fine! good luck, keep us updated. ↑ |
| Thanks Heather, I'm really confused about the due date cause it keeps changing on me. The doctor says I've been measuring small the whole time but baby is about 36 weeks right if I go by her dating. She said it doesn't matter about the due date anymore cause she'll pop out way before then and she is healthy enough to make it on her own without the breathing machines and all that. Thank god. I gotta find out more tomorrow though so I'll keep you posted. I just don't want to go back to the maternity ward on a false alarm again unless it's the real thing so I'm crossing my fingers she'll behave. Thanks again. ↑ |
| Well, I have no idea but I have a question for someone also. I am 41 weeks pregnant so I am over my due date and I am on;y 1 cm. dilated and I dont believe I have lost my muscous plug. Does this mean that I have awhile still because I can't really go too much longer, they will induce me right?? ↑ |
| Kelly, your mucous plug just comes out as you begin to dilate a little more. Some people don't even notice it. I'm sure that your Dr. will induce soon if you don't go on your own, most wait until 2 weeks past the due date. (I was 10 days over.) Good luck! ↑ |
