Internal exams do not hurt esecially the one the doc does in his office, before labor. It is a little bit of a cramping feeling but nothing more. When in labor though without any pain meds having an internal exam does hurt. ↑ |

I'd say internal exams are uncomfortable if anything. As long as you relax, you'll be fine. I don't remember them hurting while in labor...There's usually a lot going on at that time so you don't really notice it, or at least I didn't pay much attention to them. Cutting the cord doesn't hurt. Neither you or your baby will feel anything. ↑ |

They do hurt in labor if you dont have any type of pain relieve especially if they do one during a contraction. But if you have an epidural or some other thing for pain you wont feel it. you dont feel anything when they cut the cord at all. ↑ |
