Thank you. Does yoga build muscle or tone your arms and/or legs?

i did yoga too, bodyflow classes at golds gym. they were GREAT. except for the parts where they lay on their backs and bellies which i had to sit out.
lori, its probablly not a good idea to try to build muscle while pregnant, i heard it can release toxins into your system which might harm the fetus. but very light weights like ankle and wristweights while walking might help you keep the muscle you have toned without stressing your body too bad.
i wish i could still go to my yoga classes but things in my house are so crazy i can never seem to get there!

Please ask your DR before you do any workouts Just to be in the safe side. You might be able to do isametrics( spelling?). It is when you flex and release your muscels....No need for weights.
Well just double check if you can do any of these.I have see alot of work oust on dvd you can type in Pregnency work outs and a lot will pop up.
Very best of luck!
