Well I'm not pg, but I had my little girl in December. It just seems like I'm not a good enough mother. I'm probably being way too sensitive, but when I mention my fiance and I wanting to have a big family eventually, my family scoughs and thinks it's a ridiculous idea to want more than one. My family wasn't supportive of my breastfeeding and tried to find any excuse to tell me how it wasn't best for Harper ( which is crazy, I know). I mean, I don't plan to ttc for at least 1 year, I have an IUD, but I would like my family to support me. sorry needed to rant ↓

| Oh Kristy! I hear you. My family was awful to my sister about breastfeeding. I've said I want a big family and my mom always says "you only need two" cuz she had two and anymore than two is too many and having just one is just dumb. what's wrong with people. i'm keeping a journal for the baby and one thing i always talk about is my desire to always be supportive and provide unconditional love cuz god knows i wasn't raised that way. | i have to change the knob on my room ehre b.c there is no lock and no one knocks, when i say knock they open the door then knock. its bad enough that im gonna be breastfeeding and stuck to this one room, but christ give me some privacy and my mother says "well i dont want to see it" well then learn to effin knock ya idiots lol he isnt even here yet and i have to stress that. i get walked in on trying to get dressed, im like WTF door is shut, leave me the hell alone lol ↑ |

In the 50s and 60s Rosey breastfeeding wasn't the thing to do. It is making a huge comeback now, but a lot of people still have that mindset.

| Yeah I know. I don't uderstand it either. My family is the opposite. They don't understand why I don't breastfeed anymore. My son can't digest the proteins...he had a virus and drinks soy...plus he was tongue tied and did a lot of damage. They don't get it that I wish I could...I even suffered and made him suffer for 11 weeks lol ↑ |

| hun some people are just like that. My real mom is one of them. Every time I mentioned breastfeeding she looked at me like I was nuts. She said that I was going to starve Kendra. OMG she even told me that she could suck my nipple off since I had a breast reduction and had my nipples moved to a higher location. I said are you stupid! My nipples are just a secure as they were before the surgery! People jsut like to make it about them and unhappy people feel the need to be negative about almost everything. They like to bring people down. You love Harper and that is 90% of being a good mother. If you want more children then by all means have them. Your family are not the ones taking care of them so tell them to piss off. ↑ |

| Coart honestly breastfeeding is not so bad at all. I think tha tmost moms freak out and think that they are not feding their child enough and make the mistake of giving a bottle. That is the worse thing I ever did with kendra. DOn't get me wrong I had a reason that I HAD to give her formula. My breast jsut don't have enough milk ducts to produce all of the milk that she needs, but you breast are normal and odd are you will not have any issues. The other thing that people have issues with is sore nipples. Make sure that he has a good latch before you leave the hospital and this will help sooo much. Kendra had a great latch from day one and my niples only got a little sore, but nothing to bad at all. My friends daughter did not latch correctly and she had cracked and bleeding nipples, but she toughed it out for about 1.5 weeks and is fine now. ↑ |

| My mom told my sister she was starving her baby by breastfeeding. My mom had us in the early 70s and formula was still the way to go back then. Plus she thinks if you don't do it the way she does things that you are saying she did something wrong. Annoying parents. God help me to not be that way with Ian/Hope. ↑ |

Hi Kristi, I know your not here much, anymore due to being busy with Harper, but I personally think its not their business how big of a family you want. They did what they wanted with their family, had however many children they wanted, now its your turn to form your own family, Its your business and they should just be quiet.
But you will always have someone who will not agree with whatever you do, I tell them my self to back off its my life my family. Its so aggravating others trying to give their worthless 25 cents on it.....

Thanks alot guys. I just needed to vent. I find it humerous that I never wanted kids and now I'm ready for another one already:) Michael and I are both only children and we really wish sometimes that we had that sibling bond.

| yeah sorry trying to eat food.. ive been puking all day i need something to stay down.. i was having contractions last night, along with severe diarrhea and vomiting allll this morning and today but nothing yet. i guess there is a drop in the barometric(sp) pressure b;.c of this severe storm we're getting here right now, and that sends alot of women into labor.. davina is convinced im gonna have my kid tomorrow LOL .. i doubt it. hes just rolling around right now ↑ |
