thats when i found out my iron levels changed too. come to find out the reason why we get anemia is b.c late 2nd early 3rd trimester is when the volume of our blood increases 50%. but our body can stil only take in 15% of the iron a day. so lol .. yeh gotta love our bodies. ↑ |
glad the results came back good megan. so are you having to take iron pills? ↑ |
The Maternity Hospital I attend told me to begin taking between 30-60 mg of Iron a day from 18-weeks gestation even though I'm not anaemic, to prevent anaemia, and to make the extra blood required to support the growing foetus. I've started taking a supplement now; I'm 18-weeks today! ↑ |
I passed my GD test too!! Woo hoo!! I sooo did not want to have to do the 3 hour test again! And my doc didn't say anything about anemia, so I didn't bring it up! I think I'm all done with testing for this pregnancy too....yippee!! ↑ |
yeah I ahve to take more iron supplemetns or eat higher protien items. It seems since I have started to take in more Iron she kicks harder. That or it just comes with being pregnant.
30 weeks and she is round house kicking. this cant be good lol jk ↑ |
