Do you Ladies have any fun ways of telling friends and family that We are expecting? What did you do? I am on my 11th week right now, and I wanted to wait until my 12th week before telling, and Thanksgiving is coming up and we will be visiting his parents then, so how should we tell them? Any creative thoughts?

When my sister told all of us at easter, she put lil blue passy and pink passy in a plastic egg and gave it to our parents and the Inlaws it was so cute. When my brother told the family him and his wife were expecting at Christmas (we all had Christmas at their home) they got the keys to the parents cars and put pink balloon and a blue balloon in each car. They wanted to wait till the end of the night when all guest have went home and it would just be them. We were not there when it happend but I bet it was wonderfull.

When Alex and I got pregnant with our son we just told them because well we were just excited and with our daughter we told them both on halloween Alex was dressed as a Dr. and well I dressed up as a pregnant woman and no one got the hint. So at the end of the night our parents were sitting at the table and we walked in and asked if our costumes didnt give a good hint and they were like "what?" and I said "our costumes" and then they all got it. lol. We will do better with our next suprise I hope.

I would say if you told them on Thanksgiving mabye you could hide passys everywhere and when people start finding them they could be like "What, whos passy is this" and let them all try and figure it out. If there are other babies there then it might not click but just put a ? on the front of the passy. It will be a fun guessing game.

Good Luck, and congratz.

My sister in law told everyone Christmas Eve, she wrapped up a plastic baby doll and gave it to her mother to open. As soon as she opened it everyone in the room started to cry.....except her mom!!! She was confused but after a min she got it. I also read a story about a couple wrapping up an ultrasound and giving it for Christmas. I am sure it will be wonderful whatever you choose.

Thank you for some great ideas. I was actually thinking of the ultrasound Idea because I have lots of pics from the 8 week ultrasound, and maybe put a little bow around it and I'm sure they will get the hint! lol

Someone on her said that they put a bun in the oven and told their husband to go look in the oven. I thought that was pretty cute.

We gave our parents cards that said "congratulations" on them and then on the inside I put "you're going to be grandparents"

When my brother in-law and sister in-law were expecting there second, they wrote on their first son's t-shirt "I'm going to be a big brother" It was adorable, he was two at the time and had no idea what was going on. With their first they bought helium balloons, tied them to a baby bottle and put the home pregnancy test inside. When we told my mom, I put my test in a travel diaper wipe container and handed it to her.

I got my mom a license plate surround that says Grandma Lori on the top and says the names of her grandsons on the bottom with "& ?" after their names and then I am going to put the ultrasound pic on a piece of paper to be framed by the surround.
