Hi I'm just curious how long after having a baby should you get your period? This is the second baby I had but I can not remember from first time. I had my daughter November 28,2006. So how long should I wait before I start to worry? My husband and I had sex twice with the pull out method and now im worried.

Unfortunately I don't know that there is a straight answer to that question. As you've heard so many times by now, I think every woman is different (breastfeeding or not also plays a part in it). I didn't start again until I had almost completely weaned my son after 7 months. I hope someone else has a better answer for you.

Hi JOANA, i still haven't had my period yet and i had my daughter on 8th November. It really depends on if u are breastfeeding. I am in the same situation. Some people get their period back straight away even though they are breastfeeding. It all depends also on how regular u were before u became pregnant

Well if you had sex with the pull out method as you know there is a chance of pregnancy , not as much sperm is deposited as with ejaculation but it really doesn't take much i got pregnant that way , but every women is diffrent i would say go talk to your doctor about it and see what he/she has to say sometimes it really does take a while to get back on track.

I'm breastfeeding and I had mine 2/12 months after birth, mid December, but not again since. She's 4 months old now.

Yes you bleed after having your baby, but it's not considered a period. I think the word is luconium that your bleeding. Most woman bleed for 4-6 weeks. For me it was 4 fairly consistently then 3 weeks off and on. Then a few weeks later I had my actual period. But not again since mid. December. But I took a test just to ease my mind and it was neg.

*5-6 weeks max for period, not postpartum bleeding.
