I stoped taking my combination birth control pills july 11. On aug 10, I got my period just like I used to have it b4 going on the pill (cramps, etc.) Is it possible my body has already returned to "normal". Could I be ovulating this month already and get preganat?

oh yeah, it possible. my mother wanted to get pregnant right after she got married to my wonderful stepdad. she took the pills and after their wedding day, she stoped taking them, well, the next week, my sister was concieved. so yes, its possible but sometimes, things like this take time. good luck

You know what they say, anything is possible!! I think it generally takes about 3-6 months for everything to go back to normal, but it is deffinitely possible!! Good luck with concieving!! Let us know when you have some luck!!

Ver possible! We waited one month after going off the b/c pill with both pregnancies, and got pg right away. It depends on each person. Some take longer than others. Some people can get pg immediately after going off the pill.

It's definately possible! With us, it took us 10 months to conceive after going off the pill, but I've heard with quite a few women it has taken much longer, including some who conceived the very next month! Good luck!

I went off of birth control june 20th, had my period on the 27th of june, found out I concieved somewhere between the 10th and 12th of July. Amazing!! we thought it would take a few months after getting off the birth control. We also thought it would take a few months for my body to go back to normal. We were wrong, we got pregnant right away.

hey there, twice now I have been pregnant within a month to two months of stopping my birth control pills, the first time I was on BC for 2 years and the same with this one. It is possible, but if it takes awhile don't get discouraged!!!

My husband and I decided to start trying for our second baby. I went off the pill 4 days ago, but i had already taken 6 pills from the first week. We had sex lastnight and this morning I started spotting and cramping a little. The first day of my last period was on the 9th of november. Could this be my period again? or something else. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!!

yes your period if you went off the pill 4 days ago you would get your period this week aven if you only take a weeks worth of pills you might not ovulate because you already had a period 2 weeks ago so i would say no your not pregnant

I have stopped taking my birth control pills right after my last period (Nov 9th). I have been taking my piils for 5 yrs now. A week or two after stopping my pills I started getting cramps and feel nauseated. My breasts felt a little sensitive as well. My husband and I had sex, but he wore a condemn, however I thinks some of his pre ejac. fluid did go in. Is there any chance I may be pregnant already?

I got pregnant on the pill, never missed a single one and took them at the same time each morning. I know that if you take antibiotics it can affect the potency of the pill, but I didn't do that either. My Dr. said that it happens with some people, my mom had a "pill baby" too, so I really have to watch it! I think for most people it can happen shortly after going off of it though...good luck!

Could also be the timing, I got pregnant exactly one month after I got married! Needless to say, we stayed in on our first anniversary.

Oh yeah it's very possible to get pregnant quickly after getting off the pill. My period started on Nov 5th and I was suppose to start a new pack on the 6th but I didn't. Reason why is because I have been on birth control every since I was 14 and I am 32. The only time I wasn't on them is when I had my 13 year old and my 4 year old. Now I am about 5 weeks pregnant.

Are you late for your period? If so, buy a home pregnancy test. You can get them cheap from the dollar store, or go to a free clinic. If you're not late yet, wait until you're late and then take a test. Keep in mind that different brand tests have different sensitivity levels, so even if you get a negative result the first time you test and you still haven't gotten your period, it's possible that you're pregnant. Treat your body healthy until you're sure you're not pregnant (ie when you get your period).

My step mother works in labor and delivery and she says it has been known to take affect right away but for the most part 2-3 months.
Good luck!
