I am due at the beginning of november. I am feeling really sick these days...morning sickness i guess, even though it lasts all day. Any tips on how to feel better and enjoy this pregnancy?

Everyone says to eat the saltine crackers, I would eat them, then hurry and lay down. After a while you get tired of always eating crackers though. With my second pregnancy, my doctor gave me a prenatal vitamin that made the morning sickness go away. It was great! Maybe ask your doctor about it. With this pregnancy, I asked my doctor for it, and they ended up giving me some generic brand that didn't work.....I think the name of the good stuff was Stuart Natal 6, ask your doctor.

I forgot one thing that helped me majorly! I read that you can get alot of morning sickness due to withdrawls from caffeine and/or nicoteine (spelling ???). I read this in american baby mag., not just some stupid rumor. Since I had quit smoking & quit drinking coffee, I think that contributed to my morning sickness. So what I did was drink a glass of ice tea or two during the day, you still get some of that caffeine, but not nearly as much as a cup of coffee.

i don't know for sure if i'm pregnant because i'm only 3 weeks late but i'm sick all day long and i've done taken 4 urine tests and they all was negative 1 was from a doctor's office someone told me to take a blood test they said it's more accurate than a pee test but the doctor told me the pee test was just as accurate what do you think.

Well I suffered from the same thing. All I can say is that it gets better over time. I would be sick all day and I was unable to keep any foods down. So I started eating less food at a serving time but more meals a day like six small meals. And my doctor also prescribed me some medicine. But it gets better believe me just give it a little time. I am due at the end of October and I just started feeling better.

I'm due in Feb and feel sick too. I've tried the wristbands for accupressure, and maybe they help a little? I drink ginger tea and eat saltines, and realized its worse with an empty stomach, but no food sounds good to eat!
I wondered about the medicine - when can you get it and why don't they give it out more? I've got an appt fri and Im hoping to get some, but fear I won't get it for some reason...

I'm 17yrs old first time mom and i've been having a great pregnancy. But heres what you need to do. B4 you go to bed eat crackers and tums and b4 you get out of bed eat some crackers and drink water. As an have crackers by your bed so you don't have to even get out to grab them! and girl just take it easy. your not going to feel great forever you have something growing inside of you...and take naps even just 20 min you'll feel refreshed! good luck!

I was sooo sick for a week and a half, threw up everything I ate! Even crackers and juice. I was weak, dehydrated and a mess! I burst a blood vessel in my eye from throwing up and lost 10 lbs. My Dr. prescribed me medication (I believe the name is Dioxin or something like that) and I stopped throwing up immediatly. Thank god because my Dr said I would have to be admitted to the hospital for IV fluids if it didn't work. Getting the prescription was not an issue and it's safe for the baby. The pills have a cute pink pregnant woman on them.
I still feel nauseous but I can finally function (I'm eight weeks).
I am hoping that this yucky feeling goes away though.
Thank you all for your words, they are helpfull to my first pregnancy.

If you've tried munching on saltines and it doesn't work, try a snack with protein. This is my second pregnancy, and the only thing that settles my stomach is a nice steak or hamburger. You could even try peanut butter or cheese, anything with protein. I hope this helps!
