I CANT HELP IT!!! i had a dr. appt. today and we were discussing the u/s i had done on march.15 and she said i had some sort of bleeding around the amniotic sac and placenta. She said it wasnt that much and that maybe it could be gone by now, but im going for another u/s this thurs. They also said i have a small cyst on my right ovary.
I dont think the cyst worries me all that much, i've heard some of you girls talking about that, plus the dr. said it's very likely to go away....but the blood they found??? Im so scared something could be wrong, i could not be able to handle another miscarriage!! Has anyone had this happen to them, cause the info i got from google is only scaring me more.... ↓

| thanks girls, im gonna stop researching it. The first thing my dr. said was that worrying wasnt gonna make anything better, but i cant help it. I cant wait for thurs. to come to see what they tell me. | I had a huge cyst on my ovary in early pregnancy (like 6 inches)... I looked like I was 5 months pregnant. I went in at around 4 weeks and it was giant and still growing, the doctors had me going in for ultrasound over and over making sure that I didn't need emergency surgery to remove it.... then all of the sudden I went in for a scan at about 8 weeks and it was GONE. Not smaller, but GONE. The doctors still have no idea how that could have possibly happened. I also, throughout that time, had patches of blood in various places. The doctors said that they could be from a cyst being reabsorbed, and leaving a gap. So I wouldn't worry to much... Joshua is sprawled out across my lap right now fit as a fiddle, lol. ↑ |

| I get cyst on my ovaries nad my dr. said they are normal unless they get huge or rupture....and pregnancy hormones are good for the cyst...they help them to dissipate. ↑ |

nicole- that makes me feel better. yes, the dr. said the cyst would probably go away on its own, im not that worried about it, its very small, i think she said 1cm, its the blood that got me worried, but hopefully its no big deal.
jillw, u had what also?? the patch of blood? cause my dr asked if i had bled during this pregnancy and i havent, she said she wants to check if theres still some left
mother2five, tasha, briseis, thanks girls, i appreciate your concern. oh and im 13 weeks. ill let you all know how it goes with my u/s. Im also gonna have those exams done to check for infections and such.(something like a pap??) I wasnt going to initially, but the dr. scared me saying an infection left untreated could cause a miscarriage.
tasha, i think the bleeding is not related to the cyst. The cyst is on my ovary and the patch of blood was found on the outside of the sac, between it and the placenta, if my anatomy is correct. dr. said that when that happens sometimes it causes miscarriage but that it would've happened already. I guess whenever i hear that word i just worry, im sure u know the feeling. ↑ |

ok, i dont wanna start a new post so here:
the ultrasound today showed everything was fine, the blood was absorbed?? i think that's what she said. the baby looks good, growing and growing!! im soooo happy, thank you all for trying to put me at ease.
im 13 weeks 3 days and hubby was in the room with me for the u/s so she made the lady try to see what the sex of the baby was. she said it was still early, but he was being so stubborn (like always) so she said her guess, she said it was ONLY a guess, was that it was a GIRL!!! so im happy about that, that's what i hope we have. But as long as he/she is healthy, we dont mind. ↑ |

| im glad everything is okay and not to ruin ur moment, but it is in all reality a little too soon to tell the sex, she shouldnt havent even guessed. the male genitalia doesnt even begint o show til about 16 weeks and it can be off. every baby is different. ↑ |

the doc told me at my 5 wk ultrasound that i had the sac of blood too and that it was NOT uncommon. He said not to worry, but HELLO!!!???? how can you not! I'm now 9 weeks and just got great results from my 8 wk sonogram, so relax. I know it's hard, but I'm just trying not to think about it.

Vanessa, I dont know much about the blood, but weird thing is that on one of my ultrasounds the tech said "Oh and the cyst they found on your ovary last time has shrunk"' I said WHAT? WHAT CYST? I was never told I had a cyst until that appt. I was so upset that they kept it from me. I was somewhat pissed that I found out later on another ultrasound, I found it so strange they never mention anything the first time they saw it...
But this has never been mentioned to me again.

coart and angelcecilia, i know its too early to know or even guess, but u dont know my hubby, he is the epitome (sp?) of stubborn. How do you think he got me to be his girlfriend?? But trust me, she probably just said that to shut him up, LOL, he's bad.
cindy, i know thats the way these drs are. they kept alot of things from me from my last pregnancy, this time around they're telling me too much!!! if it isnt THAT big of a deal, why worry me sick?? i guess they have to huh? but only when they feel like it, not fair!! = ( ↑ |
