Im 36 weeks pregnant and my baby is still feet first. Im very nervous that she wont end up turning. The doctor is giving me the option to just wait it out and see if she turns or next week i can have them try turning her for me. Has anyone had to have that happen before? Or has anyone had there baby turn at the last minute? Please, i need someone to talk to.... :-/

What would you do? Have her turned or wait and see what happends? They said it only takes 5 mins to turn her though.....

I was never in that situation, but a friend of mine was. She had the baby turned, she said it hurt so bad and then by her next appointment the baby had turned back, the doctor wanted to try again, but she wouldn't let them do it. She waited it out and luckily the baby ended up turning on it's own. Good luck

I think she was around 39 or 40 weeks, but it's been awhile so I'm not positive.

Well what does your Dr. think? You've got 4 weeks left, I'd wait a while longer, seems like the baby has time to turn.

Randi and I are the resident experts of breech babies or "feet first" as you called it. Randi had Kaden turned 3 times, but each time he flipped back. My plan was to have my daughter turned at 37 weeks, since she had never been head down. However my water broke at 35 weeks and I had to have a C-Section. And let me tell you while this isn't always the case, my daughter had the umbilical cord wrapped around her body twice, it was so tight she had bruises on her back from where they pulled it off of her. They later told me if they had tried to turn her it could have been fatal. It made me realize they are sometimes head up for a reason. My advice to you is try to do some natural things to get her to turn, get on all 4s and arch your back, do sommer saults in the pool, maybe even go see an accupuncturists if you are willing many people say it actually works. There are lots of other things that you can try. Plus some people say their baby has flipped to head down seconds before they were going to push. The choice is ultimately yours, but if I was in that situation again I'd have the C-Section.

Nikkis...so your saying just incase she hasnt turned for a reason i should just wait it out and see what happends? cuz if she doesnt end up turning on her own, it obviously was ment to happen that way? like people say.. :"everything happends for a reason." That makes sense though, i would much rather have a csection then have any harm done to my baby... thanks a lot.. your advice helped me a lot!!!

My daughter ended up turning after a weekend away camping when I was swimming alot and doing summersaults in the lake. I don't know if that's why, but it's worth a try! I was 34 or 35 weeks at the time. Good Luck

Yeah the baby can still turn right up until you give birth. Depending on how much waters you have.

My baby had an unstable lie. One day she'd be lying across my belly, the next day her head would be under my ribs.

From 38 weeks - 42 she turned about 12 or more times, rarely head down. I had a Caesarean.

Have you thought about acupuncture? I heard it's a miracle worker

I'm glad I could help out Jackie. I think waiting is the best thing. And I alsoloved my C-Section. By the 5th day I felt great :)

My baby was head down from 28 weeks. But at 36 weeks, it's possible she may not turn now, as she's already very short of space in your womb. I hope she does though. x
