Hey ladies! I haven't been on in a while cause I went back home to tell the family I'm pregnant. Everyone is so excited! Anyway, I have a question.....I have had seriously itchy skin on my mommy parts (just on the outside) since shortly after finding out I'm pregnant. It itches if I shave or if I don't. I can't figure out why and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and what to do about it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

does it come up in insect looking type bites.. or like a red rash when you scratch it?

my hairs itch all the time, even when i keep them shaved. so i kno whow you feel. u can ask ur doctor, but it might just be skin irritation.

If I scratch it looks like a rash. It's mostly when my clothes rub, but it seems like all the freakin time! I'm definitely going to ask my doc about it, but I need something til then.

I had that too at the beggining. I mentioned it to my doctor, and just told him that it itched on the outside ONLY (with no discharge or smell or anything) and he automaticly told me it was a yeast infection. I think he just didnt want to have to figure out what it was so he just blurted out the first thing that came to mind. But anyway I used monistat, which didnt seem to help at all - until I started using the itch creme that comes with it. After using the creme, it went away within a few days. I'd say give that a try, if it doesn't work - just ask your doctor. But make sure he knows your exact symptoms so he doesnt blurt out yeast infection like mine did.

Thanks, maybe I'll try that. It's definitely not a yeast infection. It itches mostly at the top (tmi). It's just the outer skin and it is driving me crazy! I was on a walk with my dh and we had to cut it short cause I looked like I had crabs or something. I was walking along an couldn't stop scratchin. It sound funny, and I'm sure that once it stops I'll be able to laugh, but this is rediculous!

I would definately try the creme. It's not TMI because thats exactly what I looked like too. Don't worry, I can gurantee you that you are not the only one lol. Good luck :)

i notice when i wear pants all day, when they just keep rubbing its like pulling the hairs, short or not. i figured thats what was driving me to reach down and scratch, but on days i walk around in my underwear all day its not that bad, also have you switched soaps or detergents or anything since youve been pregnant, some women become more likely to getting rashes and irritation b.c of the hormones, and you get dryer skin. they rec not overshowering or over bathing b.c it takes the moisture from the skin

I just looked up the PUPPP thing and it's definitely not that. I changed the soap I use right before I got pregnant, so I guess that could be it. I think it's the same as you have Coart. It is much worse when I wear more restrictive clothing. It was okay today, until we went on a long walk. Then all I wanted to do was shove my had down there and scratch! Maybe I'll try a sensitive skin soap, too.

I had that problem even before I was pregnant -- I think mine was just dry skin...My belly has been really itchy the last few days though, and Ijust keep scratching at it -- of course, then it hurts!
