Ok so it been like 5 yrs since i was pregnant last.. and today they have the cutest maternity clothes. Now when i was pregnant last the only pants/jeans/shorts available had that big belly covering and now I see the kind that you can wear under the belly, roll half way ect ect. I am so use to wearing low rise I was wondering if any of you had experience with the low rise maternity pants and how they feel with a big ol belly hanging out? I want to give em a try but just curious :)

With my son I had some underbelly pants from Motherhood Maternity. They were so cute and comfy in the beginning. The problem was that when my belly got big it pushed them down and I had a hard time keeping my pants up! I haven't tried the kind that you fold down yet either. They weren't really out when I was pregnant last time, of course out here we get everything way late...

Hi Lori.. Congrats on the new addition first of all.. and secondly.. motherhood maternity clothing is like the most comfortable clothing line out there for expectant mommies.. As Chris said the "sit below the belly" pants are great at first but I too am having the same problem with my pants staying up.. lol and i'm constantly pulling my pants up and getting teased for it. LOL! I decided to stick with the full panel maternity pants as they feel a lot better and dont cut into my stomach as I am 31 weeks this thursday (ONLY 9 MORE WEEKS TO GO! YAY!)

Just try one pair for now and see how you feel in them for a while before buying a whole wardrobe of them.. just to be safe =)

lori, i had so much trouble finding low rise maternity jeans!!!! i bought my first pair at old navy, they SAID low rise, but i guarantee they werent, and they were all old womany looking in the butt pockets. i mean they didnt come up really high, but they hardly looked like a pair of cute low rise jeans.
the next pair i got was from motherhood, and they were kinda low rise, and i actually liked them for a while, but they were like tapered leg , which i hate! so i put them away too and refused to wear them!
the ONLY pair of jeans i have stuck with are a pair of non maternity jeans i had, which were stretchy jean low rise with side slits with ties that were meant to be sexy and show a little skin, but the more preg i got i just loosened and loosened and tried to cover the gaping openings in the sides with longer tops! but they were long enough, and flare leg, so i didnt feel like i was wearing dorky old woman clothes throughout the pregnancy. they even stretched with me up to 9 months!!!(and i gained 50 lbs!!!)
i wish i could find more of them, and recommend them, they were mudd brand, and i got them in like 1999.
now none of the pants fit, and i am down to one dress i bought for my baby shower at motherhood. i wear it every day if i have to go out in public. everyone says it is so cute.

I hated my maternity pants that you wear under your belly, they kepy slideing down. I finaly got so tired of always pulling up my pants, I tried the over the belly kind. They were so ulgy, but so comfortable. After a couple of weeks of trying to get my one pare of over the belly pants washed at night so I could wear then the next day, I went out & bought 4 more pairs.

Buy yourself one pair of under the belly pants just to satisfy your curiousity, & a couple of pair of over the belly for comfort.

Congratulations, & good luck with your pregnancy.

The best maternity pants I have worn and this is my second pregnancy btw is the stretch strip ones cause I dont like the low rise or the huge pouch looking thingy lol. You can get them almost anywhere you can get maternity clothes. They are so comfortable and look like normal jeans.

I tried those on too but I dont wear the baggy shirts I wear the fitted ones and with the line in the middle on my belly it shows thru the shirt, the full panel ones where the top of that hits the shirt is just starting to get tight so you cant see the line, if that makes sense :P

I love the under-the-belly pants. I purchase all of my pants/jeans from MIMI and I love the feel! I do not like anything on my belly and these feel great! I am 32 weeks, and LOVE the belly popping out!

This morning I went to get dressed I slipped on my comfy jeans and couldn't button them. I think the baby is starting to move around too. This is so cool I am so excited. Today I get to buy maternity clothes. I agree with Laura there is nothing sweeter than when the baby starts to show and grow. The baby is due around the last week in October and I know I will very pregnant during summer but I can wait.
