| Having membrains stripped has the reputation of bring labor on.. useually it's not right away but with in days. For me it never hurt at all. I had mine stripped though when I was in hospital, I wasn't in labor but was bleeding and it was on my due date. I was induced as well as having them strech my cervex to rush along the delivery.. but I doubt I would have went in labor that day with just the strip! good luck ↑ |
I had mine done on a Friday morning. By noon I was cramping. Later that night irregular contractions started. I went to the hospital Sat afternoon and was 3cm and still having mild contractions. I went back to the hospital Sunday morning and was having stronger more regular contractions. They broke my water at noon and I was still 3cm at that point. Then immediately my contractions became stronger and even more frequent. My daughter was born at 5:11 that Sunday.
It really started things rolling for me right away, but still took time for the full effect. Good Luck! ↑ |
| well..when they checked my cervix at 38 weeks to see if i was dialated..i am almost positive my doc stripped my membranes as well because i felt his fingers doing quite a bit of uncomfortable moving around my cervix. it was painful, i had cramping and some spotting. my water broke at midnight the following day. ↑ |
