How many Moms are planning on playing classical music when there baby goes to sleep...I for one am not sure...My oldest sister had her first baby and played music by Enya very soothing...Well, she said she would Never do it again b.c her son wouldn't take naps any where unless he had the same exact music..
But, I do think music sooths them and stimulates the brain.
I don't know, I do want my baby to take naps at other peoples houses..so im lost.
what do u think?

mammalorney12 you seem like kind of a bitch. I hope this is insightful enough for you. Play music for your kid if you want. I play it for my son, have since he was born. I get sick of listening to the same thing so I just put a deifferent CD in. He doesn't listen to music during naps b/c I am making noise around the house. Just at night when it's bedtime. Classical music won't do it for him though. He listens to whatever we do.

...i really wonder what kid of insight you were looking for...cause i think the whole cd player kinda solved the problem you were asking about.....or the whole just not playing music.....

what more do u expect from a 17 yr old? the attitude, being a bitch, not much more to really expect. you want some insight, watch what you say to the mothers and other women on here b.c they'll be sure to give you some real insight. you asked for opinions they were given, dont be rude.

Name: Lola | Date: Apr 9th, 2007 2:42 PM
She said thanks twice for your opinions...

Seriously.

Anyways. I personally won't be playing music for my tot. I just want him/her to get used to quiet time. I like peace and quiet. So...maybe he/she will too.

When my Dad was still here [R.I.P.] he used to play Elvis constantly.

Every time I went over there it was always on.

But that was in the early stages of the pregnancy...So I dunno if that counts. Lol.

If I was going to have background music I'd play Elvis too or Frank Sinatra.

Nice funky stuff :)

Name: DaneseS | Date: Apr 9th, 2007 3:09 PM

wow grow up,
you asked for peoples opinions, you got it, theres no need to be so rude all the time‼

Just as food nourishes a baby's growing body, the elements of music-melody, tone and harmony-nourish a baby's rapidly developing brain. Even before children are born, research shows that music has a beneficial effect on the network of neurons that will be the foundation of their later learning, language development and music ability.

Ladies remember we are all trying to do the best that we can for our children and what may seem like a simple question to one may not be so for another.

she said she already knew her own answer, and when people suggested things, they werent good enough, then why bother asking?

Name: DaneseS | Date: Apr 9th, 2007 3:25 PM
YAY IMMA BITCH.....grow up little one....

and like coartney said..if you knew the answer you wanted then why ask....

Name: mamal | Date: Apr 9th, 2007 3:26 PM
You may want to reread the question. She states what she has heard in her own family experience & asks for others opinion to make an intellegent decision.
"...I for one am not sure...I don't know, I do want my baby to take naps at other peoples houses..so im lost."

Can't we all just get along? I got this attachment for the crib that plays lullabies as well as mimics a heartbeat and plays ocean waves. You can set it to only run for a little bit. It's also voice activitated so if the baby starts crying it comes on to try to soothe. My friend swears by it so am going to give it a shot.

and she said "I don't know, I do want my baby to take naps at other peoples houses..so im lost.
what do u think?"

which in response to that i said portable cd player and she rudely said "Thats would be a pain to carry around w. u all the time...along w. everything else a baby needs..no thanx" and also when i suggested a mp3 player she stated "Ya I guess..I was looking for something more insightful...but k thanx" i dont know about you but that came off as rude...sorry my answer wasnt insightful enough...make it clear what you want...THANKS

ya that was rude, and any one that doesn't think that was rude needs to re read what the twit said! plain and simple!

Name: DaneseS | Date: Apr 9th, 2007 3:57 PM
Nope Marti we cant...only a select few of us do...and we have a "Click" LoL.....supposedly..and we gang up on people...supposedly... but i am just usually givingmy opinion...
