I am trying to ask off a few weeks early as in maybe have april 20th be my last day. My due date is April 30th/May 1st. I need some good strong reasons why i need off earlyier than i am suppose to take off. i am suppose to wait until the day I go into labor and then my 12 weeks start from there. I want to take off one week earlier and still get my 12 weeks, so i need some reasons. I came up with a few...but as i'm sure you all know pregnant makes you spacey and im going nuts trying to think of how to word this email...

| tell your dr that your want to be off work. He will write you a note. Tell him that your back is hurting too much to keep working 8hrs a day. Your job has to let you off. However you 12 weeks will start from you first day off. So it won't be 12 after the baby is born. ↑ |

That's crazy you have to come up with an excuse. Or maybe i work for an awesome company.
I'll be taking leave 2 weeks prior to my due date then i have my full 12 weeks so i'm all set.
The only "excuse" i can give you is maybe get a doc's note, and give it to HR. You doctor will give it to you no problem. Good luck hun! ↑ |

Look into your benefits or insurance. I had insurance that only covered 8 weeks, but because my doctor ordered me off work 1 month before due date, I was covered for that time plus the 8 weeks.
I agree with just complaining to your doc, they should write you off in a heartbeat. ↑ |
