My cat Darcey has been missing for a few days. I've called and called for her, but she hasn't responded. I thought she might have got run over, but had no idea what to think.

Anyway, today, I was out in my garage feeding my other cat, and heard faint miawing. I followed the miawing to my neighbour's garage, and I can recognise my cat's miaw coming from inside. She is trapped inside my neighbour's garage and probably has been for the past few days without food nor water.

I haven't seen my neighbour's car in her driveway for a few days now, and am concerned that she might be away for a further few days. Dunno what to do to get my cat out. She is miawing repeatedly and sounds very distressed. I'm sure it's her.

If left alone for much longer in there, she will dehydrate and die. I phoned my council and they said they only had my neighbour's landline and home address for contact details, and they couldn't break into the garage for a cat.

So I have no idea what to do. Poor Darcey.

Break a window and pay for it. Get that poor baby out! I am sure your neighbors will understand.

Well! Darcey has been very lucky. My neighbour returned yesterday at around 7pm; she'd been gone away for 4 days, so I suspect that's how long Darcey was in her garage. My neighbour opened the garage door to a very nervous Darcey looking a little worse for wear. She came to me and rubbed her face against mine for quite some time, so overjoyed to see me. So shes devoured a tin of tuna chunks and a bowl of cat milk, and is now cuddled in front of the fire for the evening, and will no doubt, want to go out hunting tonight. She'll have missed her freedom. Thank God for that. lol
