Okay , this one might sound a little crazy - but i still would like to know .
Somone told me that if you cross your legs the umbilical cord can get wrapped around the babys neck . Anyone else heard about this or is it just a old wise tale ?
Just curious bc i sit with my legs crossed all the time .
THANK YOU GUYS!

I hope not. I know it's not great for circulation, but I do it all the time as well. I truly doubt that's true, but I'm not certain.

Old wives tale. There's another one that says if you have your arms above your head, the umbilical cord will strangle the baby.

Crossing your legs, though, isn't good for circulation.

LOL...sorry not funny. This is definately an old wives tale. I crossed my legs with my son and nothing happened. I shouldn't say that his umbilical cord was not wrapped around his neck but he was head down face up. I also cross my legs with this pregnancy as well. However, I do find that my legs falls to sleep so I don't do it often.
