you should call your doctor...swelling in the face is a sign of pre eclampsia

if you cant get into your doctors go to like a pharmacy and do the blood pressure thing too, monitor that and make sure its not getting high, thats def pre e.

well i checked my blood pressure twice at walmart today and the first time it was just a little higher than normal and then the second time it was right on target....if it was pre eclampsia i would have high blood pressure too right?

I had unbelievable swelling in between 20 and about 28 weeks.

If you're worried, get it checked...Other than that just relax and drink plenty of water.

Mention it at your next appointment too.

well this morning i got up and still had some swelling in my hands and feet but not in my face anymore so i didn't call the doctor....i feel okay other than i'm tired but i'm taking a "lazy day" today so hopefully that will help. i have a doctor appiontment next week so hopefully everything stays okay and i can just let him know whats been going on then.

no you should still let them know b.c around 27 weeks is when pre eclampsia starts showing signs and it can dead sometimes deadly to the baby after birth and the mother. my husbands cousin had a baby a mouth before ours, and she had preeclampsia and it was bieng monitored her whole pregnancy and he ended up seizuring, and having a stroke, and is now doped up 24/7 so he doesnt feel the pain, he wakes up to eat, and thats it.
