I'm 15 weeks pregnant. The night before last I started spotting and was still spotting yesterday morning. I never had any spotting at all with Noah. I called the Dr right away yesterday morning and she told me to come in ASAP. It's an hour drive there and by the time I got there my hands were shaking. She did an ultrasound and the baby is fine. The placenta is low on my cervix which she said could have caused the spotting. When we saw the baby and the Dr said it was fine I just started bawling. I have never been so scared in my life!

Glad to hear everyting turned out alright! I had spotting at 15 wks with my second daughter and an emerg. u/s showed the exact same results--to do with my uterus and its placement near my cervix. the spotting only happened that once for me and I vag & naturally delivered a healthy baby girl. This time around @22 weeks, I just found out that my placenta is even more covering my cervix but I haven't had any bleeding yet so the Drs don't seemed the least bit concerned. Do some reading on Placenta preivia--thats what I did and it was super helpful and reassuring!
Good luck and [[hugs]]

I had this in the earlier stages(5 and 7 weeks i think) and I was so happy to see the baby and know it was ok.My biggest scare was at 11 weeks when the doc couldn't find a heartbeat...I was so happy to see the little one jumping all over in there!I think I did cry! Then I was mad at the stupid doc for putting me through that! lol

haha--I am sooooo thankful that the Dr. I had for my first two preg. happened to be a dinosaur (he was actually the Doc. that my mum saw for all of her pregs!!) and he was a firm believer in not over testing. He basically taught me that being preg. was pretty natural and either it would work or it wouldn't. No sense in getting worked up over little quitches!--Makes me a much wiser preg. woman now!!

She told me not to lift anything heavier than Noah and I have another U/S scheduled in about 6 weeks. She said by then the placenta should have moved up.

in turkey, my doctor wasnt military he ws contracted, and was an actual turkish doctor. i swoll up in my face hands and feet and went in and he said put cold water on ur face. that was his solution, so i said are you gonna test for pre eclampsia, NO. i said well over in the states they test ur urine every visit, he flat out called me a damn liar, saying they dont do that no more, not in 25 yrs. my husband had to hold my hands down because i was in tears about to swing at him lol

Although my OB who I get to see this week finaly (YYYEEAAHH) is a decent Dr. its funny how so many men work in childbirth--when they say "oh, those stratching, burning, barking, tightening, hormonal, disturbing feelings are all normal..." you just want to tell them to bend over so they can have a taste...just to be sure!
