Me and my boyfriend were doing meth, smoking pot and smoking cigarettes. I just found out i am pregnant probably 4-5weeks and I am so scared. I immediatly stopped doing everything. My boyfriend is quitting with me too. But i am scared my baby will be born with deformities or extreme health problems. but i don't want to get an abortion. I do not know what to do. I need advice!

i think you should speak with an obstetrician or at least and ob. nurse. i wouldnt be worrying as much about the cigarettes and pot, only because millions of women smoke and drink alcohol before realizing they are pregnant. most quit and their babies are fine. i dont know anything about meth, but i do know that in about the first 10 days of conception, you do not share a blood supply with the baby. there is no umbilical cord. the fertilized egg travels through your tube, splitting cells for many days, finds its way to the uterus and the group of cells then burrows themselves into the lining of your uterus. the cells are called a blastocyst. look it up online. even after it burrows, there is still a period of time before there is a blood supply, beyond the ten days i believe. so i think that if you have stopped the drugs, your baby has a very good chance of being healthy. i had an ultasound at 5 weeks and all there was, was a yolk sac. two weeks later, at 7 weeks, the baby was the size of a grain of rice but her heartbeat could be seen. so if you are under five weeks, i think your baby would be ok. hopefully you arent further than you think. but like i said, i would call a nurse or at the least, look up info about drugs and the first weeks of pregnancy online. good luck.

So like Jen said...don't worry you are going to have a healthy baby take your vitamins and eat good and don't use meth, or pot any more your child needs you now, and try to limit your cig smoking. Focus on having a wonderful healthy and happy pregnancy. Good luck and keep us informed.
