I am around 5 weeks ish and this morning i woke up with a weird feeling around my left ovary side.

Its sort of like pain, but more like an achy groggy feeling...feels alot like the feelig i get before a period starts. Anyway, this is my second pregnancy but with my first i didnt find out till i was 16 weeks so I dont know if this is an ordinary early pregnancy sympton or what.

Does anyone know what this weird painy thing is? is it something to worry about...? i know you might think im a liar etc, but ignore the name and just answer my q if you can.

thanks.

lol i dont even know you so i cant judge you on being a liar.. however i used to get period type pains like you are describing during my 1st trimester. and still get them now.. which i have been told is normal. but yours could be different.. you probably need to go to a doctor to see whats going on.. i cant really help you much more than that sorry =\

i can remember having real excruitating pain at 1 point.. it started off mild then got so bad i was gunna tell my boyfriend to take me to the hospital.... it was on my right side.. started off as like a sharp pain... then moved towards my hip and right side of my lower back.. and stayed for hours on and off. but it must not have been anything too serious because im fine.. my babies fine.. and im 28 weeks now ( happened when i was 4 months pregnant )

the pain was also like an 'ache' and throbbing.. rather than what it started out to be ( sharp pain )

i had a throbbing pain too, to one side at the beginning of my pregnancy. turned out to be just my uterus stretching. x

i have a "Gay stomach" as i call it and i cant eat in the mornings without feeling really sick or actually throwing up. but i can manage a banana, and i feel like a bit of a baby but im slowly introducing more foods each morning, like today i had a banana and a few cheerios, and tomorrow i will have a few more cheerios...lol slowly tricking my stomach!

i figure i need to eat 3 meals a day really. Im trying to be healthy this pregnancy ;)

I'd get it checked out especilly if it lasts a while or keeps persisting. It could be a small cyst that the egg leaves when it leaves the ovary, in which case will usually go away by 12 weeks (i can't remember what it's called). Or it could be something more serious if the pain is constant. I would ask for an early ultrasound at 6 to 7 weeks to make sure all is OK

i have an u/s next weds...should i wait till then or go to the docs before that?

Its not an agonising pain, its more of a groggy achy type feeling. I think ill see if its like it tomorrow and if it is ill pop to doccies as im taking one of the kids down and i could pinch her appointment as she doesnt really need it anymore.

When you first get pregnant the cyst that release the egg that was fertilized begins to grow. the cyst is called a corpus luteum cyst it releases progesteron to keep you pregnant untill your baby is good and implanted in your uterus. Once the baby is implanted in your uterus the placenta will take over making the hormones you need to stay pregnant. Somtimes corpus luteum cyst get big and cause pain but, it is perfectly normal and should go away within a few weeks. I wouldn't worry unless it doesn't go away or the pain gets really bad then I would call your doctor. I know that you wil all say how in the world do I know this. I know this because I was an ob sonagrapher. You don't always feel it when you get pregnant but, in some pregnancies it can be irritating. The one cool thing about having this pain well I think its neat you can know which ovary let out the egg you got pregnant from.

God Bless,
Michelle

Yes I believe your very smart. I am just average but, believe it or not you do learn alot of things with age. It is because of life experiences, I am 33. Yes that fire in your mouth probally is heart burn. Heartburn is when your stomach has to much acid in it and it comes up your esophagus. Some people also get it because the top of their the flap that is suppose to keep everything in your stomach does not close all the way. I am not sure which is the cause with pregnancy. When you get that fire in your mouth it is stomach acid. Tums might help.

love,
Michelle

Yeah,I had that pain off and on for about the first 12 weeks.the doc said it was perfectly normal. For me it was the (normal) pregnancy cyst you get on the side you ovulate from.Sorry I can't give you the name of it,I can't spell it!My doc said the pain can get very severe but it willl eventually get better.Mine is gone now.Mine always got much worse when I was hungry.Yeah, you're right nothing helps morning sickness, but I am one of the lucky ones,I wa sonly sick for about 3 weeks...Hope you feel better soon.

today ws the worst sickness iv had yet. but its pretty much gone, but if i move too quickly I feel dizzy and like i need to chuck again.

I have a bit of an ache again today, but not really anything too serious. I'll mention it at my u/s next week but its not worth bothering the doccie about, especially as I can NEVER get appotinments anyway.

arent you meant to get appointments within 2 weeks if you are under 18? im sure thats a rule in the uk....but I sturggle to get one in the same month...is rediculous, who is ill in a month???
