sorry about the topic, but you got to take advantage pregnancy humor where you can, right?? anyways, i'm concerned with how my breasts are enlarging during the course of my pregnancy. i'm currently 14 weeks along and my right breast is a ddd, you read right, ddd cup size. while my left breast stayed at a single d cup. granted both of my breasts were tender during the beginning for the first trimester, only my right one is actually enlarging though. has anybody else experienced this?? should i feel uncomfortable about adding "extra padding" to the bra cup of my left breast for a more 'even' appearance?? will this affect my ability to breast feed from both breasts in the longer run??

sorry for the rapid fire questions, i'm just a tad worried.

I've read that this can happen sometimes and in no way will it affect your ability to breastfeed. This happened to me with my first pregnancy but after awhile the other grew as well (they still where different size) but nothing that was noticable to anyone else. This time to my shock my boobs seem to be growing alot sooner. I was a B when I started with my first and ended up being a full C at the end of my pregnancy. Still am. So I'm hoping this time around they don't grow to much..LOL

Yes, I have the same problem. This is my first pregnancy and my right boob is bigger then my left one. I call my left one a special boob. My doctor said massaging it in the bath or shower will help the circlation in it.

I think that's normal. I haven't met a girl yet who didn't have one boob bigger than the other. I don't have quite the difference you do (yet... knock on wood), but I definitly have a noticible difference. I also notice more pain in the one that's smaller, so I think maybe it's trying to catch up or something. Lol. A couple weeks ago it was the other way around. I've always been unhappy with my breast size though, so I'm hoping to see a huge increase, if only temporarily, and will probably get implants when I'm done b/f.

that's right, before my miscarriage, only my bigger breast was sore. oh and nicole, ive always been unhappy with my size too (34A), and i thought they would never grow. when i was preg. with my son. i waited and waited, and nothing. when i gave birth...BAM! they looked like implants. ithink i went to a full C-cup. they almost touched my chin! LOL. i wished they had stayed like that forever, but now they're little again, and now i dont even have one big one:(

I was a small B when I was pregnant with my son and went to a full C during the last month of my pregnancy. I was very happy when they didn't go back down to a B, although it is common for them to go back to where they started. This time around I am starting out with a full C and they have already started growing. I'm just hoping that they don't get to much bigger. I'm happy with my C's so if they go down after this pregnancy I will be happy as long as they don't become any smaller...LOL

I decided to look closer to see if possibly I had the same issue. Although they are pretty close in size my Left on is definately bigger then the right. And alot more sore.

thanks for all the help! it doesn't necessarily bother me because i thought my partner would think it was weird even unattractive but he doesn't mind and i actually poke more fun at them then he does. and my only other concern was my ability to breast feed, but i guess i don't have to worry. thanks again!

haha.......a friend of mine is pregnant and due 8-23 she went up 3 cup sizes and i told her to just wait until her milk comes in haha.....so it happens .......another friend of mine had large breasts and when she had her baby she had to pump both breasts before she fed her cause if she didn't then the baby would choke cause she was getting to much.....if its that noticeable then add the padding if not then don't worry about it...your pregnant so everyone is looking at your belly anyways!!!

This is called asymetric breast. Usually this will not affect breastfeeding, it just so happens that one breast grew more than the other. If you are ever unsure about anything than make a list of questions and talk to your doctor, he or she will be able to discuss with you better. God bless..
