I was wondering if anyone has felt braxtin hicks around 24 weeks. I'm not sure if I am the only one that has felt them this early or not.

I had Braxton Hicks starting at 4 months with my son. Dr. says it's normal, your body is just getting ready...enjoy them, the real ones aren't as cool.

I've been having painful ones since about 20 weeks. I am now 25 weeks along. The doc put me on Breathene (spelling?)because of my history of preterm labor.

Braxton hicks feel like your tummy gets really hard for a few seconds and then it gets soft again. Its actually kind of a cool feeling. They dont hurt at all.

Leena, I always got them after an orgasm. I actually asked my Dr. about them the first time it happened cuz it freaked me out. She had told me that it was fine...

Oh yeah! I had them from right about then up until now (I am now 37 1/2 weeks) :) Now they are def. more intense and last for longer and longer each time. Sometimes I will even wake up in the middle of the night feeling my muscles tighten and hurt. My doc. actually told me that if I have mroe than 4 an hr. to go to the hospital so I did. After careful monitoring for over 3 hours, they decided to give me some meds to stop the labor contractions. It was a shot to reduce the muscle contractions and when I went in again for my prenatal, he gave me it in a pill form. Now that I have stopped taking it, I can feel them starting up even stronger but now it is safe for him so I am not too worried. He also told me that these are completely normal to have and that I have NOTHING to worry about unless they are accompainied with bleeding or severe pain. (Something that might ease your mind...women actually have braxton hicks from VERY early on...we just can't feel it until the baby and uterus gets bigger) Hope everything goes well!
