i know you all know me by now and know that i've miscarried recently, but now i am looking towards the future and trying again soon. i had planned and am still planning for my future pregnancy to buy the bugaboo stroller for my next child. i know they have competitors that are cheaper and they sell bugaboos on ebay for cheaper, but i really want one. i want the cameleon in red. question is: does anyone have it already? do you like it? where did you buy it? how much? any disadvantages other than the price? just curious. i also want the peg perego carseat.

One of my girl friends got a bugaboo and boy is it hard to figure it out! Her husband is the one who unfolds the stroller and puts the "chair" on the body. It took 7 of us girls and more than half an hour to open the stroller and put the whole thing together. When we were all done, it turned out we put it backwards. hahaha!

Anyway, it will be worth all the money if your child will sit on it. My son never ever sat on a stroller. He would cry and cry so we just picked him up. So the money we spent on his stroller was never worth it. The only time he actually sat on 1 was when he was 18 months old and it was the $12 umbrella stroller from toys r us! It was the best $12 of our life!!!!

They look different....but I dont know if I would invest the money in one, I couldn't see myself spending that much money on a stroller!! but you are the mommy and you can have whatever you want. I personally found my favirote stroller in target hehehe it's all pink :) for my little one.

ASHLEYMAMA, DON'T GET ME WRONG, I'M NOT RICH, BUT I JUST REALLY WANT ONE. I GUESS YOU COULD SAY I'D BE TREATING MYSELF TO ONE. I KNOW WHAT PINK STROLLER YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. I WAS ACTUALLY GONNA GET THAT ONE AT FIRST IF I HAD A GIRL. IT COMES WITH A CARRIER, RIGHT? I THINK IT IS SOOO CUTE. I ALSO LIKE THE BUGABOO STROLLER B/C IT HAS A PART THAT IS MADE LIKE A CARRIAGE. LIKE HOW THE OLD CARRIAGES USED TO LOOK. I LOVE THAT. AND I DO ALOT OF SHOPPING AND THE ISLES ARE SO SMALL SOMETIMES, THAT STROLLER HAS GOOD MANUERVERING FOR THAT.

I have never heard of them until I read your post, so when I went to the site I was shocked because I've never seen anything like it. I like how you can choose all the different colors and make it specific, but I couldn't find any prices so I went on ebay like you said and was shocked by how much they sell for. I like the one (I can't remember the name) that you can take on the beach and go through the sand with, that's pretty awesome and to me worth the money, but I dont live by a beach anymore :( I"m stuck in the desert.
The stroller I found at target shocked me because I had never seen a stroller and carseat that was pink. In the past 4 years stores have gotten such cute stuff.

One more thing, it is so good to see you thinking about the future!! It makes me truly happy :) and something you might find funny, moshecathy said they had trouble opening the bugaboo stroller. Well when my daughter was first born like 4 years ago someone had gotten me an umbrella stroller and for some reason I couldn't open it for the life of me and I pulled so hard at the legs (because you know they fold in half) and ended up finally seperating it but at the same time slamming myself in the head with it LOL!!!! it hurt so bad, and I dont think I ever really figured it out, I would just open my trunk and throw the whole thing in there open and all hahahaha

There are a lot of similar strollers out there a bit cheaper. I'coo by Hauck...they make some really cool ones. Quinny Zapp...way cool but you would need the car seat for an infant and I think Target.com sells it but it's by Fisher Price and looks a lot like the Bugaboo, but the weight limit is low....although I'm not sure what the weight limit is on the bugaboo. I'm having a European stroller brought over when my in-laws visit, they're way ahead of the game on strollers (pushchairs).

Personally, I can't see spending that kind of money on one. I live in what I call a posh town and quite a few have them here and I think they look great. A short story...we were at Sea World Fl this year and a couple had one, just about every exhibit, you have to leave your stroller. These people weren't ever able to their baby into the exhibits because they wouldn't leave their stroller. So if you get one, you really need a back-up.

you mentioned that you liked the old fashioned carriage look, they're still made but just as expensive. Peg Perego, Inglesina, and some others make them here, but again, a dime a dozen in Europe and just as expensive but used are cheap.

I have owned an Aprica, loved it, very lightweight and reversible but now they only make small strollers like the Combi and they cost a bomb. I also had a combi, so compact and light. I currently have a Graco Quattro, very cool looking, easy to use, tons of storage, folds easily and the stroller never touches the ground, but they are heavy and bulky. I also own a Inglesina Espresso, small, light, easy fold, but you have to get a better canopy, the seat doesn't sit straight up, and you can't use it from birth unless you have the car seat adapter which I never used, my seat fit well and locked in.

Let us know what you decide. What is the cheapest price you have found?

for anyone interested, i found the maclaren global buggy in costco for only $177.00 They have it only in red but online they sell for about $270 - 299. Its really a great deal! Im only 14 weeks pregnant but im definitely thinking of getting it. my 1st choice though is phil & ted's e3 stroller. It runs about $400-500 without any guaranty that my child will like it ... hmmmm. what do u ladies think?

What is so special about a stroller that costs $400? I think that sounds a bit ridiculous, but that's just my opinion. Even if I had $1000 to blow on a stroller, I just couldn't. There's so many other ways to put that money to use, for me anyways:)

oh, i knew i was gonna get this-----i do know it costs alot, but i just really want one. and of course, all of our children will be financially secure! or i wouldn't even be buying a stroller that costs that much. i just wanted to know if any of you had them or knew about them. thanks. ashleymama, i am so sorry, but that stroller hitting you in the head was soooo funny! because it sounds like something i would do. ha! daisy, i do know about all of the strollers you are talking about and they are soooo nice too! i did my research and for some reason, i just keep coming back to the bugaboo stroller. :) thanks for all your help and everyone's responses.

I wasn't talking about the bugaboo stroller; I was referring to the Billand Ted's e3 stroller which sells for like $500. I was just wondering why it costs so much...like if there's something that's unique to that stroller

the only reason why i like the e3 (phil and ted's) is because its pretty much the only double stroller that feels and has the same size as a single one. you can make the carriage completely flat like a bassinet for a new born and you can put your 2nd child on top of it so it would be like the other child is alone riding in the stroller. you could also put one child in the bottom next to the wheels and one on top. i agree it is a lot of money which is why im really thinking about it but as soon as graco or someone else will come up with something simmilkar that would cost half, i really wont hesitate. You know whats a dumb stroller though?? theres a new stroller called orbitz that is very very simmilar to the snap and go car seat other than the fact that they claim all these safety features and 360 degree view for the child blah blah blah ... and it costs $899.00. OMG! to me its a snap and go no matter how ergonomic it is and really dont see why anyone need to spend that much on it. oh well .. just my thought!
