so i was reading and it said that pregnant women should not eat cold deli meat. if you want to eat deli meat, you need to heat it up so that some kind of bacteria(which doesnt come to my mind right now, but it starts with an L) is cooked out of it. has anyone else heard this???

I have never heard of such a thing and I'm sure I ate lunchmeats while I was pregnant. I had a smooth sailing pregnancy eating whatever I wanted and had a healthy 8lb.5oz. baby boy.

Listeria. This can occur in Deli meat, unpasturised dairy products, soft cheeses. Try to stay off these things whilst you're pregnant.

You also shouldn't eat meat pates, liver (too much vitamin A) peanuts (if there's a history of peanut allergy in family) or meat that isn't cooked thoroughly. Steer clear of barbeques as well.

Do not handle kitty litter or kitty poop.
