no one must be on right now. so i will talk to myself and if anyone wants to join, feel free.

so pregnancy has been pretty interesting so far. im 21 weeks along and the last few days ive been getting some really good kicks and moves from the baby. earlier i was riding in the car with my hubs and the little squirt was kicking me in the bladder. thank god i didnt have to pee or else i think i would have had some problems. i bought a couple new pairs of pants today because i hadn't really bought any new pants yet and all of my pre-maternity pants are starting to get tight. ive bought several new shirts but the funny thing is that none of them are actually "maternity" shirts. thank god the style for juniors clothing is long right now because i have been getting away with just wearing large and XL juniors tops. and ive had people asking me if they are maternity shirts since im sorta poking out now and i tell them nope! so i think i might be able to get away with not buying any. also, in july my best friend is getting married and she asked me to be a bridesmaid. at that point i will be around 34 weeks pregnant. and she wants an outdoor wedding... im sweating just thinking about it. she hasnt even bought her dress yet so im sorta wondering when she is gonna want me to go shopping with her to look for my dress for the wedding.. its going to have to be something stretchy and empire waisted!

i think i caught a minute or so of oprah today but it didnt look to interesting, at least not to me. she was going around to her neighbor's houses...

i was in the grocery store once when my baby kicked me in the bladder.. it was so uncomfortable and i was so sure i was gunna pee myself infront of everyone!! i had to drop all my stuff and go find a loo lol.

i havnt brought maternity clothes either.. but my clothes are getting really really tight. im too fussy with clothes -.-

haha i think once this pregnancy is over im going to know the locations of all the local restuarants and stores in my area really well! you're from nz rosey, right? do they at least put the restrooms in the front of stores unlike here where most of the time you have to travel all the way to the back of the store just to take a whiz? i really don't know how the eldery and handicapped as well as very pregnant women do it!

Name: newmomma01 | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 4:48 AM
locations of all the restrooms* jeez.. im eliminating important words here

yeah im from new zealand.. and omg.. in almost every store they dont have public toilets!! only ones that the staff can use. and were not allowed.. so when i have to go pee i have to walk a mile to find 1 somewhere in like mcdonalds or something and there is always a huge queue lol.. or public toilets ( not many of them ) so when i go out.. i always make sure i only go to shops with a toilet near by now lol.

wow that really stinks! i figured it would be better over there! i found out the other day that i guess in the u.s. you arent able to get nitrous oxide when you go into labor. i was really hoping i would be able to get some but my doc said it affects the baby since you are breathing it in. the whole time im just thinking in my head well i know in nz and austrailia you can get it!

hahah yeah. we have alot of things other countries dont.. for example...they banned smoking in pubs over here about 3 years ago.. they are trying to ban smacking your children...we sell party pills over here LEGALLY over the counter ( pills sort of like Speed and ecstacy ) we have free healthcare here too unless u wanna pay private. were just a weird country lol.

Name: newmomma01 | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 5:01 AM
i think every country has its weird laws and whatnot. and it just doesnt make sense why one thing is legal and the other is not. slowly they are making more and more places illegal to smoke, but i dont see them ever being able to make bars illegal. i think too many people would freak out. and ive never understood why our drinking age is 21. you can go out and join the army at 18 and die fighting for your country but you cant even legally drink, just dumb if you ask me.

oh a question before i forget... is absinthe legal there?

Name: roseywosey | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 5:04 AM
lol yea i know its silly that drinking age.. its 18 here.. and 18 to buy smokes.. but in the UK you can buy smokes at 16 i heard.
Sex is also illegal here until you are the age of 16.. i dont know how so many 13 year olds are having it and getting pregnant!! most guys here in new zealand are too scared to do that sort of thing until they are 16 incase of getting caught lol.

yep.. its sold at almost every alcohol shop for about $80

do you guys have a very big problem with teen pregnancy there? its pretty common here. actually i look sorta young for my age. my husband sorta does too. i think it is mainly because we are both pretty short. but anyways. the other night we got carded for an R rated movie. you have to be 17 to get into one. and im about to turn 22, he is still 21, so it was pretty sad when we got carded for that. and before i got pregnant i was always being carded for any alcohol i bought. that is really cool that absinthe is legal there. have you ever tried it?

Name: newmomma01 | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 5:11 AM
haha jeez i know its getting late because i didnt even make a point out of what i started to say about me looking young. i was gonna say that i have a feeling once i get really big that old ladies are going to give me dirty looks because they think im just another pregnant teen

Name: roseywosey | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 5:18 AM
LOL you have the pregnant Brain.. you loose your mind.. and if your unlucky.. you never get it back even after you have had the baby!!

Not that much of a problem with teens having babies. there is quite a few around.. but more older mothers than young.

yes ive tried absenthe.. i had 1 shot of the stuff.. and i thought my throat was on fire.. and had my head down the toilet for hours afterwards.. its horrible stuff!

i would rather get horrible looks from old ladies than have them chat to me all the time about my pregnancy.. old ladies on the bus just wont leave me alone.. they wanna know all about it.. then they talk to me about there kids.. and how there birth went etc.. drives me nuts!

Name: newmomma01 | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 5:24 AM
so is the "green fairy" rumor untrue then?

haha @ old ladies.... do they ever come up to you and start rubbing your belly without asking first? luckily i havent had any strangers do that yet and im really not sure how im going to react at first. maybe when i get big i will only go out in public when my husband is around, he is pretty protective of me.

ive had a few friends and family ask if they could touch the belly. it makes me feel kinda special getting attention like that. it's like "awww everyone likes babies"

Name: roseywosey | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 5:27 AM
1 thing i have noticed when you are pregnant.. is everyone thinks your body is theres!! they think they can just come up and feel your tummy.. lift up your shirt to look at your belly etc.. whenever they please.. when really i wanna tell them where to go!
ive never had any strangers come up and do that tho lol.. just people from work.
i dont mind it when family rubs my belly either.. if i never let my family do it.. NO ONE would cause my boyfriend never does =(

Arghh my baby always sits on my RIGHT side.. shes under my rib at the moment.. its so uncomfortable.. if i try move her she kicks me lol.

Name: newmomma01 | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 5:30 AM
my husband is getting frustrated because he hasnt been able to feel the baby kick yet. and ive been telling him about all the crazy kicks i keep getting. im sure soon enough he will be able to feel it though.
why doesn't your boyfriend touch your belly? is he one of those guys who is freaked out by pregnancy?

Name: newmomma01 | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 5:31 AM
haha earlier when the baby was kicking my bladder i tried poking him a little so maybe he would move but that didnt work at all!

cookie tits, get a either luke warm washer or cold washer and put it where your daughter is sitting. It doesnt hurt her dont worry..but its enough to get her ass moving away from that spot

My son used to sit under my right rib all the time..it was so painful i could bearly take it

Name: roseywosey | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 5:44 AM
oh cool i'll give that a try.. its so uncomfortable eh..

my baby only ever kicks my bladder when i gotta pee hahaa. typical.
yeah hes a bit freaked out. he never wanted this baby at the start..he says he feels different about it now and that he does want it.. but i dunno. depending on if hes in a good mood or not. kinda sucks.. sometimes he points things out like " if u werent pregnant we could be doing fun things " etc.. other times he says ' soon im gunna have 2 baby girls i can love' As in me and isabelle ( my baby )
i think when he sees his daughter he will change his mind... when we found out it was a girl he was really happy.

males are such hard work ! drives me crazy.

Name: saRRRah | Date: Apr 13th, 2007 5:46 AM
oh cookie titahs.....once he sees his babygirl for the first time all those selfish comments and feelings will go away instantly..he will be so in ♥ with his daughter in most cases going out clubbin will be a decent memory

( it will still be there! believe me it is for me...)

decent = distant

he comes to midwife appointments.. came to my scan and drives me to all these places whenever i want.. so hes good support still. just wish he would pay more attention about the baby things i tell him.. and wish he would get excited when our baby kicked.
