I just came from my midwife. I am 27 weeks along and my fundal size is 30 weeks. She did an ultrasound and said the baby is healthy and strong.
Stupidly I watched some births on You tube and realized a big baby is going to probably be a hard labor and delivery. The midwife said my baby is already about 14 inches long and around 3 pounds.
I don't want a c-section and really want to have my baby naturally without medication but now I am really worried I won't be able to handle it .
Any Mom's out there who delivered babys over 9 lbs w/o csection or drugs? Also any suggestion on birthing methods.. Bradley,Lamaze ? THanks

Mine was always different but for me i would be lets say 30 weeeks but i was measuring 28 so they were like ohh your gonna have a small baby like 6 pounds ... i was like well i was 7.8 and my husband was 7.14 and then they said ohh well in that case your baby is gonna be at least 7 pounds... so i wouldnt worry too much.. my son was born 3 days shy of 40 weeks and he was 7.14
just try not to worry you and your baby will be fine!

Ultrasounds are not 100% right and could go one pound either way. This is what the Radiologist Technician told us. Don't worry my sister and I both are due in the next few weeks and we are both having "large babies".

the fundal height doesn't have everything to do w/ the size as many ppl beleive it's also the location and pos. of the baby that factor in as well.........you will measure further along when baby is higher and you will notice when baby is closer to d.d. you might measure less tha you are

2 week prior to Joey being born a radiographer told me he was 'small', probably around 6lb. lol. And he was 8lb 3oz. She said I looked too small to be carrying a large baby. Half of them haven't got a clue!

Same with my firt Gill, they told me at 36 weeks that she looked about 3 1/2 lbs and were concerned....I didn't get an ultrasound that was just from an exam and pfft. She was my biggest child at 7lbs 7oz.

Hey I just had an appointment and I am 30 weeks and I measured in at 33. So maybe I will have a big baby. Everyone says that I am going to have a 8LBS + baby.
