im almost 32, no babies. last month i went off the pill. i had unprotected intercourse all through the month of july and august, and this month we did on my O day. what are my probabilities of actually being pg? i guess if this month im not, i just cant get pg naturally, because it was exactly on day 14 of my cycle. last month i had 2 periods in a row (2 wks apart), the last one very painful, but i blame coming off the pill. im on 6dpo, i dont chart temps or nothing, i have no cramps, only my nipples are very very very sore, and just the nipple and not the breast. ii dont wanna stress cause i still have like 1 week and half for af to show up. but....i just wonder.

When you ovulate, you need to do the baby dance a few days before and 2 days after to up your chances. You can watch for you cervical mucos to thicken to like an egg white consistency and over the counter ovulation test kits, or do the temp charting. I don't do temps, just the ovulation kits and mucos. Sperm is capable of surviving up to 5 days where our egg I believe is 48 hours. Not much of a window. One thing I did, was after the baby dance, I stayed on my back for 2 hours, now that's not necessary, but that is the amount of time it takes for the sperm to travel up there. Leave it to the sperm to take that long, if only they would pull over and ask for direction. I would do anything to up my chances and that worked for me.

God bless and best wishes.

You could be preggers, but remember not every woman ovulates on the 14th day. I say having sex every other day pretty much gurantee's that your gonna hit the O day soon. A mans sperm can survive for 4 to 5 days if the conditions are good.
I tried charting the whole temperature and all of that but I really couldn't figure it out, and I wasn't getting pregnant. I eventually just threw out my thermometer and did the every other day thing but I did watch my cervical mucus because around the time of ovulation it gets thicker and sorry to be gross but you just are all around wetter rush home and get it on!!!! hahaha because that is the mucus that helps bring the sperm to the egg, but if you are to late the mucus actually works against you and creates a barrier that kills the sperm.
Anyways as soon as I threw out the thermometer and did it everyother day and watched my mucus I was pregnant within 3 months after trying for almost 2 years, and like daisyusa said after the baby dance I used to lay on my back but stand my legs up so that way it would help the sperm swim back there.

chart your temperatures, jerrica. ovulating on day 14 is only an average estimate! a ridiculous myth which has caused me many many pregnancy scares when my periods were very late, and is responsibile for you thinking you're infertile. i actually ovulate on day 25! and have a 38 day cycle. so you can imagine every month i was thinking my period was about 10 days late! which means i only have about 10 periods a year. i found that out by charting my temperature. i see the temperature shift around day 25, and know that i have ovulated. and around 14 days later i get my period on que. you're probably just having intercourse at the wrong time of the month, and even if you are trying at the right time, then a healthy fertile couple, having sex at the right time, still only have a 25% chance of achieving a pregnancy. also jerrica, you should always wait about 3-4 months after coming off the pill to try for a baby. conception before this can damage a fetus, as it can take about 16 weeks to clean your system of the effects of the pill. relax! chart your temperatures, and your cerival fluid for about 3 months to find out when you ovulate. in the meantime try intercourse every other day. good luck. x

I still say the best way to hit the big O day is to just do the baby dance every other day, you are bound to hit it soon enough!! that way even if you don't ovulate on day 14 and say your later then that you still can hit it same as if it's before day 14.

what i have found strange this time around...my nipples started to hurt before my actual O day or so i believe...usually the entire breast is sore when AF is due...not just the nipple, besides the burning sensation that i already pointed out. ive been having the weirdest dreams and when i wake up i feel like they actually happened, wake up all worried/scared. and doesnt matter if i sleep 10 hours every night i still feel like i need 10 more.
it could all be in my head...since i know i have strong possibilities this month......

i keep adding stuff...
i can easily see veins in my beasts/nipples. i have brown nips and as far i can recall, i never seen veins there. around the breast yes, but not there...well, 4 more days to go...
still cramping, on and off, as well as the lower back pains....
ugghhh!!!

It is very , very hard to become pregnant right after coming off the pill ecspcially if you have been on it for a long while , and it increases your chances of having a problem with the baby if you do become pregnant since the hormone hasn't had the proper amount of time to get out of your system. I am not saying you can't become pregnant I would use condoms or something else wait a few months figure out your cycles and then try I am 26 me and hubby were not trying we went off the pill and used other forms of birth control to our suprise within three months we , were pregnant , and the doctor is allready running extra tests because the baby has a higher chance of having birth defects.

i doubt the fact that is "very very hard" hard to become pregnant if u get off the pill. even the pill package tells you to use some sort of bc if you miss 3 pills...let alone stopping it.

today...nipples stopped hurting for a bit, not as sore as yesterday or this morning, but still sore...so thats weird....

Pill or no pill it can take months and months to get pg. Don't get discouraged yet... And even though you were on the pill for a short time it can mess with your body... The stuff they put on the package is a generalized thing... Every woman is different.
Best Wishes to you!

Ive heard that some women take time to get preggers after theyve been on the pill for awhile so I wouldnt worry too much, most couples take up to 6 months to get preggers and some even a year. It took my hubby and I about 2-3 months to get preggers so Its not as easy as it seems which makes you realize what they mean when they call it a miracle, lol. best of luck to ya
