I'm 39 weeks, I really want to have this baby now. I'm having a scheduled c section I was bumped of the surgery schedule so now I have to wait one more week. Is there anything I can do to help it a long?

I ate chinese food and so did a girlfriend of mine and within 13 hours, I was in labor(and my son was also a scheduled c section)!! I think it worked like a charm!!!

its really gross, but i drank castor oil chased by apple juice (because it tastes so bad by itself). castor oil is actually to help you go to the bathroom but when you are close to your due date it can help bring on contractions. i drank it with my first son and went into labor just a few hours later. my ex sister in law used it with her kids and went into labor that day or the next with both of them.

what about sex? i hear that if you have sex it helps the baby come faster

ya, i think having sex close to your due date can bring on contractions too. i also heard that stimulating your nipples can help . maybe your hubby can help you out in that department. have fun!

I've heard eating spicy food, especially curry helps and taking a warm bath (not too warm or it can effect baby) is a good idea it helps soften the cervix I think. But either way I heard it helps. A friend of mine actually had a spicy curry in the bath and to her surprise she went into labor a few hours later.

Exercise, like taking long walks can help to start contractions. Sex works as well becaue when you orgasm, the uterus contracts. If you haven't been able to have sex, have your man play with you.
