Most of the gender predictors are just old wives tales...and have a 50 50 shot of being right.
On the other hand, this one was right in my case (as long as the u/s was right too...)

Well when I took my baby class the instructor seemed pretty sure of herself that if the baby had a slower heartrate, (slower than yours) that it's a boy and if it's faster it's a girl. So it's probably one of the more accurate "old wives tales" but I wouldn't count on it a 100%

I've heard that heartrate is only an accurate predictor of gender DURING labor but that heartbeats can vary during pregnancy that it's moreof an old wives tale. For ex. in my first trimester, heartbeat was 180. Now I am due in five days and for the past couple of months it's been 130.

I'm having a girl, and from the beggining her heart rate was in the 150's and 160's. I have never been to the doctor and her heart rate was below 140. But like everyone has said, its just a wives tale - 50/50 chance.

My babys heart rate was always very fast. Between 145-160. I had a boy. The only gender predictor that was actually right was the chinese calendar.

My doc said not to listen to anyone who might try to guess the gender by it's heartrate.

Chinese calender and heart rate were right for me too - having said that I am not even taking my ultrasound as gospel until I see I have a little girl when she is born.
