Hey all,
I've had the worst 4 days, i've been bleeding .... firstly brown spotting then it got heavier to really dark red but no cramps .... i started getting clots - one which completely freaked me out - then last night i got really bad period cramps ... went to the toilet today and it all just flowed out clotting and dark red - never blood red....
has this happened to anyone and the baby been fine?
I"m trying to remain calm.
i did take my hCG levels when i was bleeding the first time and they were 2000 i'm 6 weeks pregnant so my doctor said that was good ... taking them again today - but the other thing is is that i just don't feel pregnant - my belly feels empty - my boobs arn't sore - it could just be me?
anyone had a similiar experience or am i just being to optomisitic and it does sound like a miscarriage????

| hey Jackie, yeah i know your right, i've actually been to the doctor she took another blood test- i did get an ultra sound done about 1 week ago and everything was great, the baby's heart was beating and the doctor was happy ... but now this ... i suppose what will be will be .... x x ↑ |

| I am sorry to say that it sounds like a miscarriage. I had one not too long ago, about 4 wks ago, and that is what was happening to me. I just woke up in the middle of the night and was soaked in blood. Went to the bathroom and blood was everywhere, then I used a pad, but it soaked the pad and I bled all over my bed. My levels were at 8,000 at 5 wks 3 days then at 4,000 when I tested 2 days later. When he did an ultrasound there was a sac but no baby. You need to go to the ER, so they can confirm either threatened abortion or that. (Abortion is just the medical term... they circled it on my papers when I went to the doctor etc ) ↑ |

| When i had my miscarriage it started with brown spotting then cramps and my boobs werent sore anymore and i went to the ER before i started the heavy bleeding my levels were all where they should be but when they did the ultrasound the sac was empty there was no baby...Im sorry for what your going through, ive been there i know how hard it can be. i hope everything works out for you ↑ |

Sorry, it does sound like a miscarriage. You don't have to have cramping to miscarry. The spotting was the start, then the clots were parts of the pregnancy then when you say it all flowed out, that would be the rest of it.
Since you don't feel pregant, that is another sign. HCG levels can remain high while bleeding but if you have in fact miscarried, the next time you go in, it will be much lower and perhaps even 0. If you dont' want to wait to see the doctor, you can alway try a hpt and see.
I really hope you haven't you haven't, I have read that some women could get a bleed and the baby be perfectly fine. How far along are you? If you're far enough along, I would insist on an ultrasound so you can see for sure if your baby is ok. I wouldn't wait another day either or go to the emergency room now.

| I had bleeding (heavy for 3 days) with my daughter and she was fine, I've also had a miscarriage no cramps nothing like that... so you don't need to cramp to have a miscarriage. I felt like my belly was empty too, I just knew I was not pregnant anymore. ↑ |

| hi tanya, i had a miscarriage at 6wks, started off really dark then went real red. have you passed any thing that looked like liver? they told me in the hos 2 watch out 4 clots that were like liver, even tho the tests were still pos 4 a few days after the bleeding started, i still lost the baby, i had real bad cramps like period pains r a minor flu. hope u b ok. im pregnant now again 6wks on sat n i statred bleeding yst n now its stopped. doc says its a threatened miscarriage. so heres hoping 4 the two of us, its such a horrible xperience to go tru, ave to keep trying tho. wish you all the best. let us no how u get on. ↑ |

| hi.. i had the same thing happen to me a while back.. i had heavt bleeding for a few days my ultra sound showed a strong heart beat.. but im afraid the bleeding continued and i lost my baby at four months... this could be different and i really hope so.. ↑ |

Thanks so much for your responses......
I'm really sorry to say that i've lost the baby.
I hope this does not make anyone think (whose going through something similiar) that you will....apparently some people can bleed during pregnancy.
I was 6 weeks along - the thing that i find the hardest was the fact that we had had an ultra sound and everything was fine - now 5 days later ..... i have no baby.
I guess the only way to look at it is that she/he just wasn't ready yet - or developing right or it just wasn't right i suppose.
I can't wait to be pregnant again - i'm already a little bit fearful about having to go through it again but we are survivors!

Thankyou all so much - I"m really tired and in bed... can anyone tell me how long it took them to physically recover - i feel exhausted.
