Sounds like back labor. Not pleasant but normal. Better call your doc again. Soon...

Yep you will.... I was induced both times. That SUCKS!!! But the feeling is the same. I had back labor with my daughter and I could not get up and walk.... Just misery. The only thing I could do was sit on my hands and knees it takes some of the pressure off your back..

Poor pumpkin. I was enormous when I was pregnant. Sounds like you need a nap, and a glass of wine... HA HA HA

I didn't have back labor, but in the class I took they showed us a technique that's supposed to help relieve some of the pressure and pain. One is to apply counterpressure, like with a tennis ball or massage roller. If you don't have someone there to do it, you can sit with your back against a wall and put the ball between your and back and the wall and push against it. The other thing I forget how to do lol! But maybe you could find it online. It requires a buddy to hold your hips on the outside and rotate them a certain way - but I forget exactly how to do it:)

Yep you got that pelvis spreading thing. Grrrrr.... Have a glass of wine. One glass won't hurt aything. then take a long hot shower and a nap. I think this baby is on it's way.. Once you see your gorgeous little one, you'll forget all of this crap. I promise.

Yeah - a warm bath is a good idea. The pelvic pain is normal, and also can make walking very uncomfortable. Don't take this the wrong way Coart - but I really think when that when the time comes - you should say yes to the epidural!! You'll be needing the relief, and if you're this uncomfortable now, I think you might kill someone when it's time to push the baby out!!

ROFL!!! I wanted to divorce my husband and marry the "Epidural Man". He was literally my Knight in shining armor.. He was pretty cute too... Hell at that point he could have been a troll with no hair and no teeth but he was still beautiful to me.. HA HA HA

nah we dont have wine here, i cant even buy it im only 20. my stepdad is a recovering alki so no anything in this house. and my husband isnt here. blah. mara none taken. like i said im uncomfortable but its not unbearable, i spent all last week ignoring contractions that were 3-6 mins apart haha .. i have a high pain tolerance just doesnt mean i like the pain. i really want a chicken sammich from BK lol ive had 2 this week, theyre so good. but my mother is at work til almost 5. i do wanna hold out on the epidural though, i dont want to prolong labor b.c here in florida if by 24 hours after ur water broke the kid isnt here u have a csection.. sooo lol no thanks. ill try without creating a problem. but it seems my body is doing fine dialating on its own

I'm sure you'll do just fine:) The good thing about waiting for the epi or not getting one at all is you can get up and walk around or get in the shower or bath. Do you know if they have a bathtub in the l&d rooms at your hospital? I didn't have one in my room last time and I wish I had. It's supposed to speed up labor and help relax the mom.

I had an epidural with both of my children. And I was induced both times. The first one I was in labor for about 23 hours and the second one was only 2 hours. I loved the bathtub!!! I also really like the excercise ball. That felt really good..

yes, from what i saw the other night when i was there, they have tubs, its a small little bathroom, but hell if i watch someone clean it, im down for getting in it lol .. the bathtub here is very small and even when i fill it all the way up it only covers.. well not even half my stomach, the one in turkey was very very deep and covered me almost completely. i have to say i miss turkey. scott was telling me his boss' prego wife just found out they're making them sign waivers at the hospital off base saying the military isnt liable if anything bad happens, ie: death. b/c i guess some lady had to have an emergency c section and they didnt have the stuff they needed or the people, she had to wait for people to show up, staff, myg od. and i guess they only have one contractions machine and all that, i was like well damn glad we paid 900$ to fly me one way back to florida hahah

welp the back pain hasnt really let up, and now my toes are swelling, they burn so bad hahaha.. im sitting here in undies and a sports bra with two fans on me and my ceiling fan on, the house says its 68* but i feel like im sitting outside in a sweatshirt in the florida heat haha i cant stop sweating GAH lol .. so i think im gonna try to go on a walk tonight, see if that helps any lol ive been in no rush to get him out but he wants to torture me some before making his appearance well damnit its time to be evicted kiddo lol

I am thinking seriously tommorrow may be your day Coart! You better put up a cell phone tower in the hospital so you can call meeeeee!

oh man. bebe is right...you do forget about all of this once they arrive, but when you read a post like this it ALL comes back to you. are you trying to go drug free? i think that's very brave. it can be done and really all of this prelabor stuff might just be gearing you up for a very speedy labor, so it might be VERY do able if that's what you're looking for AND those tubs are flippin' awesome, so give it a shot when you get there if you feel like it. feel better babe.
