So I am the start of my six month this week so techincally 23 weeks or 5 months and ten days. Anyways I defiantly can look at my tummy and see what is baby and what is me , however I tend to be on the larger side , not overweight or anything i am in good shape just not petite i am like a size twelve , there for i think because i am not naturually skinny i tend to hide my extra weight well. However i am tired of looking fat and feeling fat and the whole world thinking i am fat , i guess i should be blessed my tummy really hasn't expanded a lot and the baby is the right weight and size , or maybe it is to early. Oh yea and how come the baby is on the lower part of my tummy but it seems my whole stomach is round and proturding ?

I think it's because your organs and everything shift. I noticed that too, that as soon as it started to rise from my pelvis my tummy looked round. Now it sticks straight out and I feel like it's mostly baby, I guess your organs get moved and squished.

At 23 weeks, I was hardly showing at all. I'm 33 weeks and I started showing around 31 weeks. I still don't have a round and protruding belly. It has to do w/ the position of your uterus mainly, and the strength of your ab muscles.

Everyone carries differently. I was huge with my first. Everyone thought I was having twins. But I remember that in-between stage where it looked like I was just gaining weight and not pregnant. I was teaching when I was pregnant, and when I told my class, one boy said, Oh, I thought you were just getting fat. Kids are so honest:) Anyway, usually if you wear maternity clothes people can tell there's a baby under there!

For the longest time I looked HUGE because my whole belly was round and protruding as well, but only the bottom couple inches above my pelvis felt hard - like baby. Also, when I'd lay down or move it would sometimes disappear. My doctor told me that it's a combination of your organs and gas that makes it do that. I am 21 weeks now and my whole belly is about the same size - just hard. All the way up to right behind my belly button (which is flat now and way higher up that it used to be, and about to pop) is hard. It all filled in with baby pretty quickly though, so any time now you should probably notice a growth spurt... then there'll be no doubt you're pregnant.

Dont worry about it! i didnt really start showing what so ever until the 20 week mark. And like you im not petite , or hevey either. You have your regular doctor appointments and if he says your healthy there is nothing to worry about. Everyone carries differntly!
I'm 31 weeks now and for sure you can notice it, it feels like the last 6 weeks ive just piled on the weight. Just remember you put on the bulk of your weight in the last 2 months

sally I know exactly how you feel--- I just started gettlin a little tummy last week and I am 19.5 weeks, but to me it just looks like I now have a chubby belly not a pregnant belly. I know that it is going to come in time, but right now I just feel like I look fat

I'm 17 weeks tmrw and I have what appears more like a chubby belly than a baby belly. Unless someone already knows I am preggers, people have no idea.

I saw this maternity shirt online that said "I'm in the 'is she getting fat' or 'is she pregnant' stage right now... I'm pregnant!!" It was really funny and I wish I would have found that when I was going through that stage as well.
