Wait. You're 14 and not ALL 14 year olds have their periods yet. You won't know when it's coming until you start bleeding.

This really isn't a forum for teens who have never had a period. I suggest talking to your parents or family about this issue if you have questions.

Carrie, that's so funny and true! I was the first of my friends and it did suck, although I can understand that it's gotta suck to get it late too. Just hang in there Jade, it'll come sooner or later, and then you'll miss these days...

The first time you use a tampon, inserting it is a little uncomfortable but after you get the hang of things it's a breeze. However, DO NOT insert a tampon if you are not bleeding as it drys out the inside of your vagina and will cause you discomfort and pain. It does also put you at a higher risk of getting TSS.

Do not practice using a tampon before you start your period, your vagina needs to be moist as it is when you are menstuating or it will hurt A LOT when you take it out. The cotton sticks to the walls of the vagina and feels like you are pulling your insides out with the tampon.

when your cramping and pregnant how do you stop it if you can't take medications????

You really cant stop it. You can take tylonal. I would lay down and put your feet up. Just take it easy so you dont miscarry. Cramping while you are pregnant is normal. Just as long as you are not bleeding. Take care of yourself!!

I had terrible cramping in the middle of the night when I was first pregnant. I would get up and walk around until the pain got so bad then I would squat in the middle of the living room floor and lean forward...that seemed to be the only thing I could do to make the cramps disappear. Thankfully I only suffered from that for about 2 weeks.
