im not ttc, but before i was pregnant it was bad. It started at age 11, and since then ive had it every damn month, lasting 7 days going away then it would come back for a couple more just to spite me. it was always very heavy flow, i had to use super tampons and a super pad every day of the cycle. it sucked. i went through so many sheets and clothing over the years. and the first and second day were usually so painful that if i had work or school i had to miss it. i ended up getting a doctors note saying i had to miss those days b.c i ws losing so much blood and my anemia, and hypoglycemia, i was getting too sick. lol cant say pregnancy has been any better though lol ↑ |
i'm also not ttc but mine were always pretty light and only a few days - maybe four at the most) with cramps just beginning in the last few years (mind you I am 34 and started having a period when i was 13). so i've been pretty lucky. ↑ |
My periods have always been 7 or 8 days with a lot of cramping and heavy flow the first 2. My sister had really bad cramps like yours for years and the dr. said it wasn't normal. They put her on the pill (not something you want to do right now I'm sure) which has helped. I don't know what that means long term for her. You might want to talk to your gynecologist about it. ↑ |
I had very heavy very painful periods like that when I was younger. My doctor thought it was due to endometriosis (sp). They did exploratory surgery and found that I did not have it, thank goodness. After the surgery my periods got much better. They went from 7 days to 3-4 and were very light. You should talk to your doctor about it. ↑ |
The first day of my period is the only one that is horrible but I havent had one in about a year now, so who knows maybe it will be different! ↑ |
Really bad periods like that can be a sign of endometriosis. My mother had it, an aunt and a cousin ... It may not be though! Don't want to scare you pet! But it is a sign of it. ↑ |
