Hello. I have a very important question. I'm 23 and I am 4 months pregnant. Is it possible to get fertilized again before I have my baby? I don't think I could have 2 kids one right after the other. I know it's a silly question, but can someone help?

This may be naive, but I'm not sure I know what you are talking about.

I'm not sure either. I was told by someone that my body could store the sperm and I would become pregnant again right after the childs birth. I think this is completely wrong, but I want to make sure.

In other words. I don't want another child for at least 2-3 years, so should we use protection during intercourse?

Sperm can only survive for up to 6 days, even as long as 7 days. I have a feeling alot of us would have more children then what we currantly did if our bodies were able to store it beyond the 7 days. However, it is possible to get pregnant within the 6 weeks after giving birth should you have sex during this time.

I would use protection after the baby is born. Especially since that is a womens peak time of getting pregnant. As far as your body storing sperm? I have never heard that and I am sure it's not true. Sperm can live in the body (yours) for something like 72 hours ( that is what I heard, don't know for sure if it's true). Your body only produces 1 egg a month during ovulation, so when you are pregnant you don't produce anymore eggs. I am not %100 sure on all this, but I know you can't get pregnant if you already are. This is probably not making much sense, but I am tired :(
