i got a 3d ultrasound and my baby had ALOT of fat, chubby cheeks, etc.... most babies dont start putting on fat like that til the end... plus, i can feel her inside me how big she is.... i am due in late may and there is no way she can keep growing till then.... is it possible for some babies to just mature faster than others and come earlier??? i think if she were to stay there until end of may she would be like 15 pounds!!!

No, they all mature at the same rate - some are just bigger than others. 40 weeks gestation is the norm.

Gestational diabetes can cause babies to grow too big.

Jenn, my son was over 10 pounds! He was stubborn and hid it well, my Dr. assured me he wouldn't be too big but I knew because I could feel him. He didn't come early, in fact I had to be induced, but all babies are different and it is much better to have a big baby than a really small one that needs extra care. Don't worry, your baby will be fine.
