Take a stand against promoting gang violence to children.

I just signed a petition sponsored by the National Law Enforcement Officers
Memorial Fund, urging US distributors to ban a new video game, "25 to Life",
in which the player is a gang member and encouraged to shoot police officers
and to take innocent bystanders and use them as human shields.....oh, they
can also shoot other gang members, as long as they are from a different
gang. The goal is to obtain 17,500 signatures, the same number as the
number of Officers names on the Memorial Wall in Washington, DC. If you'd
like to sign, just go to www.nleomf.com/25tolife/ . If you could pass
this on to anyone you think might be interested, it would be appreciated.

Thank You

This is stupid. Instead of just controlling what your kids do and WATCHING what they are playing you complain. Its as simple as
"mom, can I have this video game?" "no, its violent". Problem solved.

Hi Kristen, I also signed this petition........I have too many friends and wifes of officers.....I can NOT believe our government would allow such a thing. I am soooooo thankful that my two teenage children are not into all this computer/tv games........and trust me.........even if they were, they would not be permitted to look at this thing.

The more you try to censor something, the more its going to be played. Ill bet that about 25% more people know about this videogame because of the petition. So long as a child playing the game knows the difference between reality and fiction, then it doesnt matter. If not, as a parent it is your responsibility to censor your child and let other mothers and fathers parent their children themselves

I agree with you kristen and for those who think that it shouldn't be banned, think about the dangers that it makes.

That was funny, and I agree completly. Ahh...I think this game is teaching kids to kill people, and I don't like it so I'm going to throw a big fit about it because I am stupid. what a bunch of bs. how can a young kid buy this game anyways? They can't unless they are 17 w/o a parent. And if their parent buys them the game so be it. Think about the dangers that it makes? WTF? A 17 year old playing a video game isn't going to imitate the game. grow up people and get your heads out of the books and take a look at what is really going on.

I dont understand why so many people think these video games should be stripped from children.Just because a kid plays a violent video game doesnt mean they will grow up to be a gangster villan!I think they are making more out of it than what it really is.And if its so bad shouldnt the makers of these video games be punished with fines and or imprisonment? If they are so bad they shouldnt even be available to adults!Im guilty of playing and also allowing my son to play Grand Theft Auto but neither one of us is a car thief !!! Just like music, some of the lyrics in it isnt exactly appropriate but it doesnt make our kids bad kids for listening to it.And if a girl wears a mini skirt,it doesnt mean she wants to have sex. My son is very good and recently made the honor roll at school. He doesnt smoke ,drink,or do drugs and he isnt having sex. Why? Because I have done a great job of bringing him up right. My son is in no way a trouble maker and quite frankly ,I couldnt ask for a better kid. We raise good (or bad) children.......video games and music have nothing to do with it.
