Hello all, My daughter started her period at 13, and is now 16. What is odd is the fact that she skips periods from 3 to 4 months at a time. She is naturally thin, not hairy, and quite beautiful. Also, her periods don't cause pain and are very normal when they do come. What is wrong here?

what does her being quite beautiful have to do with her period? and no crap she is not pregnant if she has her periods.. And if your really concerned about it, y don't you ask a doctor?

Birth control would probably help her periods come more regularly and as far as no pain goes ,why complain? And like above ,if it concerns you so much, why have you waited 3 years and still havent taken her to a doctor??!!(turn on your light bulb lady!)

hi, well there is nothing wrong with your daughter it is normal to skip periods for months at a time until they are about 18. Everyone is different, some women have terrible pain and others have little or no discomfort.

I would ask you Physician. Many things cause this problem. Also like others said, for some girls or women it can be normal. Any time I am concerned I ask the doctor.
