I'm new here and I know this topic isn't new. Any advice is welcome. A little background...I am newly married to a slightly younger man who has a 10 year old daughter, and has full custody. I have two sons that are grown, 20 and 22, and do not live with us; one is in college. The point is, I don't have any experience with girls; even though I am one...So our 10 yr old wants to start shaving her legs because all her friends do. This kind of reasoning has never done well with me. I called one of her friends mother and she told me that she doesn't shave her legs yet and doesn't have any plans to start this soon. Our little girl is very much babied by her dad; it was just the two of them forever, and I believe she resents my input. I think he should make these kinds of decisions, but he wants me to be involved. What should I do? I have a feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg!
