| hiya all... im amy im from the uk im 20 weeks pregnant and im 16 iv just left college so i can set up for the baby to be born i find out the sex on the 7th feb...............im so excited my bf and i are still together better then ever as any of your guys stuck round to help you?. i move out next weekend im finally so happy i start my family at 16, why is it that the baby moves at night but not in the day all night i cant sleep cause the baby is kicking n moving and amy i think youre going to be a great mum for a 14 year old love amyxoxoxoxox ↑ |

I dont know why they move more at night! but it is hard to sleep i usually sleep alot more during the day but i have been told i should do it because when he is born he will have night/day reversal and sleep at day and be awake all night because thats what i did so ive stopped it now! i told my boyfriend and he left me, but his parents know and they still come and see me and his mum wants to be in the birth room so i knw she will be a big help. does anyone still have morning sickness? love from amy xo ↑ |

| Ok see I took a test and it said neg , but everyone swears i'm preg I'm just not myself is what ppl say about me now , and honestly I dont feel like myself . I have thesses signs of preg and alot of them and I dont understand why it would say neg when I most likey am i had sex on ov day and during week of fertila day and i would be 4 weeks now is it to soon may be ? my friends say yes its to soon ↑ |

Hi Avvi!
I had my little girl Chloe 3weeks early. My waters broke first on the thursday at 5.30pm and I went to the hospital at 9.30 that night, (you should really go to the hospital straight away when your waters break because infection can set in). It's usually ok but the doctors and midwives will monitor you to be sure. Anyway my contractions didn't start till about 12.40 that night and didn't start getting painfull till 4.30 in the morning. My boyfriend arrived at 8.30 that morning when they were starting to get worse and I wont lie I didn't get any proper sleep 15mins here and there. The gel packs/heat packs that you can heat in the microwave are really good for the pain and I got through the night with them and used them in the delivery room too. Walking around really helps too not only to get things going but helps relax you too.Also kneeling on a chair+ leaning over the back really help releive preassure from pain in you back and bum. My contractions were all in my lower back and bum,i Found it really hard to sit or lie down. When the doctor examined me at 1.45pm I had a fast heartbeat wich could indicate sign of infection so he decided to move me to a delivery room and iduce me as soom as ther was one available. So by 2.30pm I went to a delivery room and the pains were geting worse every so often. then a midwife was in and out saying that they were busy and would be with me soon, Then she went off duty and ended up not being my midwife,then another one came in. She examined me and I was 4cm dialated so she said I was doing good.gave me a membrane sweep and decided to wait an hour and examin me again before thy induced me. An hr later 1 was 6cm dialated so thank god I didnt have to get induced. It was now 5.45pm. When I first went to the delivery room I demanded a TENS MACHINE.Its a form of DRUG FREE pain relife and would recommend it to anyone. I kept this the whole way through to the end. I then had a different midwife again.I was progressing fast and the pain did get worse,eventually the only place I found any comfort was sitting on the toilet as it took the pressure off my bum and back. I was now getting the urge to push and was shouting at my midwife from the bathroom.Around this stage they had to put aclip up me onto the babies head bacause it was difficult to monitor the baby through the contrctions.This gives a more accurate reading. Anyway I tried gas and air at 6cms but felt stupid and out of control so refused to take anymore but by 9.30pm at 9cms I decided to take it myself as it was geting a little bit much. Soon enough the pushing came and it was kinda hard but to be honest the contractions were worse than the baby coming out. Finally the last push and I had my baby girl at 10.24pm. When she was coming out it stung me a bit (it felt like i had a urinart tract infection,you know when you pee and it stings). But its true what they say as soon as you have your baby you forget the pain.
After I felt tired but thankfully I didn't tear and needed no stitches.I felt so proud and I didn't have any epidural or anything of the sort. But remember if you feeel you want or need the epidural or any other pain relief feel free to have it because it will only make it more easy for you and enjoyable.

TIPS TO REMEMBER;
1) DO ANYTHING POSSIBLE TO FEEL COMFORTABLE.
2) AS SOON AS YOUR WATERS BREAK PHONE THE HOSPITAL AAND TELL THEM
3) BE PREPARED FOR YOUR BIRTH PLAN NOT TO GO ACCORDING TO PLAN AND KEEP YOUR OPTIONS OPEN.
4) BE PREPARED FOR YOUR MIDWIFE TO CHANGE AS THEY CHANGE SHIFTS
5)ASK ANYTHING YOU WANT
6) TENS MACHHINE IS A FANTASTIC PAIN RELIEF ↑ |

It could possibly be too soon. Have you missed a period yet? Try another test next week and if your still aving doubts see your GP or someone similar. They can do a pregnancy test and a blood test. The blood test is a very accurate way. It can show if your body has the pregnancy hormone. Also describe the symptoms you have to him/her and if your not pregnant they may do other tests.

I forgot to add I'm planning to have another 1 or maybe 2 children in the near future.I would love to be pregnant again and the birth was a wonderful experience. I would do it again in a heartbeat.Also all pregnancies and births are different so don't pay too much attention to all those horror stories you hear about the labour experience.
ANOTHER TIP ALSO!!!
DON'T EXPECT OR THINK WHAT KIND OF PAIN YOU ARE GOING TO EXPERIENCE JUST PLAN TO TAKE IT AS IT COMES AT LEAST THIS WAY YOU WONT FEEL LET DOWN AND IT WILL WORK OUT BETTER AND YOU WILL FEEL VERY PROUD WHEN YOU HAVE IT ALL OVER AND YOU HOLD THAT LITTLE BABY FOR THE FIRST TIME. ↑ |
