My dog is soooo cute. If she comes up and noses us for a treat we make her work for it. Her tricks are,
shake,
high five,
sit,
lay down,
turn around,
nose, she jumps up and touches her nose to your hand
where is???? We name a family member and she has to run and find them. She knows all of our names, and a few friends.
Pick a hand, she has to pick which hand has the treat
Lately when she wants something, I act confused and ask her what she wants, usually we name a trick.
So now she has begun, doing tricks on her own when she wants a treat. It is so cute.
She varies in the tricks, and if I say, ok, that was cute, do something else, she does a different one. It is so cute.

What tricks can your animals do? And how did you teach the trick?

Tyson: Sit, down, roll over, you pretend to shoot him and he lays on his back feet in the air, sit up and beg, high five, double paw five, shake, low craw( on his side), high craw head in the air, we are working on the balance of the treat on the nose and then flipping it to catch it. He is a really bad catcher no eye mouth coordination. LOL

Hahaha my dog does that one too T rabbit. I saw "bang you're dead" and she just drops. She will lay there until I say (all excitedly) "puppy alive!"

As for teaching it, my dogs know all of their commands with hand signals anyway, so I started doing the gun with my hands and saying "bang you're dead" she looked at me confused and then I just shoved her onto her back. I made her stay for a few moments and then said "puppy alive" and then released her. I gave her lots of pets and I bet it only took me 7 or 8 times. She is a very fast learner... just not when it comes to peeing from excitement : (

My old lady dog use to dance on her hind legs . That was easy to teach all you have do is hold a treat above their head getting them to stand on their hind legs. While they are standing move the treat around their head getting them to turn in a circular motion. While moving the treat tell them to dance, after a couple times with treats you will be able to do it with out them.

My other dog hasn't been taught fun tricks because he is a working dog. His tricks are more use full tricks such as.. opening doors closing doors as well as advanced obedience training.

Lindalu, that is sooo cool. I love to think of the things he does. My dog is big, I don’t know if she could do the dancing one, but I will try that one.

Some of the larger breed dogs cant do the dancing thing, they cant stay up on their hinds for that long. You find it is more the small breed dogs such a poodles that become prows at it. My old lady dog is a Poodle Schnauzer, she was real good at it!

awwwwwwwww, it sounds so cute. Like a circus pup. I am wondering if she will lay on her back, because she never does that. I am going to give it a shot.
